Only guideline I have is if my teen ( only have one child ) , will actually use the item, in the past we were just buying to buy and there were things left un-opened for years . its more intentional now. I don’t have a limit on number of gifts,, the cost .. etc.. This year we spent less than in the past and the main gift is an experience that wont happen until summer. We did that last year and it was fun to have something to look forward to.

I’ll be honest, I secretly feel disappointed in parents that do the 3 gifts as something to wear, something to read & a want. Reason why, they do the category’s of something to wear and read, in my opinion, these categories are a parent’s responsibility to provide for their children on a daily basis, that’s not special. Christmas comes one day a year, it’s special, they should get 3 wants. Either way, that’s my person opinion, everybody has one, right. I’m very impressed with your 3 gifts for your children, (3 wants) that makes it more special and exciting for the kids. I agree to keep the amount of gifts they open, the same for each child, as you are doing, even if u have to combine gifts as one. We’ve always kept our kids gifts as even as possible as far as cost AND ALWAYS the same number of gifts to open , even if you had to get a cheap item to wrap, to even the # out. I agree, at 15, it’s time for a cell phone because you need to be able to reach her and she needs to reach you, that’s important. You did a good job with your girls gifts, they’ll be so excited! 🎄

I love hearing how each family does gift giving with multiple kids for Christmas. I have an only child (5yrs old) and also did a haul. You did great. Love the Uggs and Barbie rc car.

Just a suggestion as a mom of six. With Ugg’s it’s not a good idea to size up. My kiddos loved them but I started to notice that they’d start to limp. If their foot slips around too much it can cause really bad foot pain over time. Love your vlog ❤

We always did 3 gifts plus books and PJs. I don’t see how all the dolls & doll house equals 1 gift, it’s really like 8. I think going by cost defeats the purpose of saying 3 gifts.

our 15 year old got a cellphone when he turned 13 we monitor it and look through it once a week he is to put it on the charger at 9pm every night which is in the kitchen and if needs any punishment taking there phone away is the end of them lol

15 year old need a phone. She’ll be doing her own life in 3 years. Prep them now so they are ready. She’ll be fine

We give our kids an ornament every year that represents their interests or experience for the year. We also buy a family ornament that represents our summer family trip. Like a Disney one of we went to Disney. We went to Italy this summer so we got one at the Vatican
