Since the Global Change Research Act (PL 101-606) was enacted in 1990, the U.S. Global Change Research Program (USGCRP) has coordinated and facilitated global change research across 13 agencies of the U.S. Federal Government. From advancements in the capacity to observe and model global change, to an improved understanding of the relationship between climate and human health, to playing a leadership role in international cooperative research and assessment efforts, USGCRP continues its work to understand, assess, predict, and help society respond to the impacts of climate and global change.
U.S. Sea Level Change Website Webinar
The U.S. Interagency Task Force on Sea Level Change held a webinar on October 8, 2024, introducing the U.S. Sea Level Change website released in September 2024.
This webinar features a presentation on interagency collaboration around federal sea level change information from Mark Osler, Senior Advisor for Coastal Inundation and Resilience for NOAA, and a tutorial of the website data explorer and educational resources from Dr. Ben Hamlington, Research Scientist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
