Portland is the capital of Oregon, change my mind
30 minutes.... 😂 not even a little accurate
yall some idiots lol he said "about" 30 minutes so give or take 10 minutes assuming 40 minutes from salem to portland is easily doable while going speed limit or maybe 5 over (as most people do)
Lol he lives in the I5 pussy corridor from Portland to Eugene dnt worry I live in forest Grove a real rural town
Yeah and they fucking grow grass seed there. Dumbest waste of rich soils
1hour away
It's true I live in north Salem Oregon worlds best onions
Green beans. World's best _green beans._
Stop telling people
Umm I live right bye u in Monmouth
That's cool 👍 i wonder how it reacts to large earthquakes though
Surf's up, bro!
Should go to the Dallas TX area to handle the gumbo soil there. The house foundation leveling business is great.
Omg let's TikTok it!!!!!
Best region for farming and we're destroying it with urban sprawl and industry.
My brother lives there, I used to live there in Salem as well.
They actually export this soil with grass on it around the world to cover football fields in many stadiums
There's very little "dirt" in exported sod. It's mostly sand and grass roots.
Salem is cooler than people know.
30 minutes is a straight up lie lol
liquefaction is a problem
Salem: the armpit of Oregon state. The city one should just keep driving through. Right on past. Zoom zoom see ya Salem. You can thank me later.
Biggest waste of flesh lives in the valley from Portland south. Y'all are ruining Oregon
My guess is he is describing the Lake Labish soil complex on the north edge of Salem. When we think of driving from Salem to Portland, we think of the Portland Metropolitan area. That’s a 30 minute drive or less, whether driving on I-5 or 99E. There’s some local perspective for y’all. They grow very good onions on the Lake Labish soils.
Is it bio dynamic?
Wow!
Bro, salem is over two hours away from portland With traffic. and most certainly not 30 with no one on the road. it takes 45 minutes from salem to newberg, which is another hour away
I straight up call bullshit. I'm in the same valley. He's full of shit
bro is too close to me
30 minutes??
I watched that soil roll like waves during an earthquake.
Portland dweller, grateful for our farmers!
Old mushroom plant?
Don’t advertise this stuff and don’t sell to foreign interests
Keep Bill Gates out
Keep Bill Gates out
If you haven't seen the soil in the Willamette valley, then you're missing out. It's beautiful stuff. :)
you should have seen it before they drained it and destroyed the ecosystem. used to be all wetlands.
@@losipoopthere's still plenty of wetlands left, especially after the last 3 weeks
Lol 30 minutes from Portland? Why you lying?
You know why or how right?? Check out the ice caps in Montana that broke loose and washed all the good soil out of Washington and washed in into the Oregon Willamette Valley.. check it out… Coos Bay, Or here🫡
Major storm coming to Salem
"Muck soil?" I'm a PNW native & never heard of this in my life. But Willamette valley definately is a major farming area with rich soil.
We have muck soil in Portland. My neighbor 3 doors down was pounding on a pipe in the ground. I felt it in my back yard.
Just think that comes from thousands of years of life growing and dying 😮
How do u keep poison from Chemtails away/off?
By breathing it all in
By wearing a tinfoil hat. Try it.
Yeah I live in springfied Oregon. Thanx for driving my allergies up the wall.
Is that labish soil like in Keizer?
Lol what? 30 min south of Portland. When its actually like over an hour drive
I'm surprised it hasn't been turned into a cannabis farm by millionaires already.
I’d love to tour this and learn more about how the lake is managed every year. After driving over it for the last 28 years I ought to learn more lol. 👍
Sw portland
Since when can you get to Salem in 30 mins from Portland?
All of the new population have destroyed our environment
It's organic sediment from the Missoula floods of the last ice age. Extremely fertile soil.
The Willamette Valley was called The Valley of Death by the native Indians. That's due to all the moss and mold the lives off that organic matter. Respiratory troubles abound, not to mention the allergies.
That story is 100% BS, even if it is fun. Here's a more accurate anecdote about the valley that you can randomly share with people on the intert: the Willamette Valley may be the moldiest place on earth, according to biologists at Oregon State University. The persistent dampness, coupled with the cool-but-mild climate, provides ideal conditions for a vast assortment of mold species to thrive. There may be places that are moldier, but they haven't been discovered yet.
