Can’t wait to try the Moravian cookies and the nut brittle.

THAT CARAMEL LOOKS SO DELICIOUS. I DEFINITELY WILL MAKE IT. WHAT GENTLE VOICE YOU HAVE SO INVITING TO ENJOY LIFE ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I remember the strawberry pie. I also liked the hot fudge cake.
Yummy! One Of My Favorite Things! I Could Smell It As You Took A Bite! I Am A New Sub, Looking Forward To What You Make Next! Love And Blessings!
I worked for Shoneys way back in the day. I don't know how many of these I made 😅
Double the recipe. All that work for a single serving!
Thank you for your comment! This dish actually makes about four servings, so please let us know if you end up trying it. Thank you, again, for commenting and watching! - Glenn and Kati
Good to see ya again
Never thought to add carrots in my squash casserole...sounds like a good way to add extra vitamins.
Howdy Glenn and Kati, I was wondering what makes these caramels Amish? The Brown Sugar turns these into Butterscotch Caramel's. I know lots of people don't understand that, but White Cane Sugar makes a Caramel, Adding Brown Sugar makes Butterscotch. So sure, I could see that maybe Amish Caramels Might actually be Butterscotch Caramels. Either way, I am certain what you created is WONDERFULLY Delicious!! I am a Professional Caramel Maker, so I understand caramel making pretty well. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me. I am retired now, but my door is open to anybody needing caramel making help. Have a Beautiful Day!!
Thanks for this information. I appreciate your input and it is nice to receive this note and to reply to a professional caramel maker. You and I agree that caramels are delicious! I am sure I can learn much from you, thanks for the offer. Best regards, Glenn

Looks great! I'll have to try it!
Thank you for the recipe and great directions
Glad you liked it
❤❤love it!!! From Texas!
Yay! Thank you!
I love your comment about it looking like hungry koi! Lol I would never think that, but now I will never forget it!
The "dumplings" in the chicken and dumplings I grew up with were from a dough my Mom made from scratch. They were light and fluffy and more like biscuits than noodles. The outsides would be denser and full of the chicken broth flavor. I loved to cut them open and let them absorb more of the broth in the fluffy interior. She also cooked an entire cut-up chicken in it. I would call this "chicken and noodles", which my Mom also did. I grew up in Oklahoma and my Mom grew up in New Mexico. I'm not sure when or where she learned to cook her version. Regardless of what you want to call it, this looks yummy!
That’s wasting strawberry. You need to take the sharp end of a knife and core it from the top. 😊. Just a tip 😊.
You are correct! Thanks for the tip, it is great that we can learn from each other.
I ❤this. 😄
Making with Evan tomorrow
Another great video!!! Thanks for sharing!
Yum! Thanks for sharing
Hope you enjoy
Looks very good! I'm going to try this for sure. Cheers!!!
Delicious!!!
Another great episode. Thanks for sharing this recipe! The video is outstanding!
I’m not a big cabbage fan but these look delicious! Great recipe, great video…love the Irish music in the background. Lincoln and Buddy sound excited too! Good job Glenn and Kati! Thanks for sharing!

Great to see y’all back! What a simple and great recipe!
They look yummy. And that crisp sound when eaten really made my mouth water. This was fun to watch.:)
Hope you guys are still making videos ❤
We started back last week! We are so excited to publish videos often. Thanks for watching!
I have watched this video a few times. You don't tell us how much Karo corn syrup to you. I'm thinking 1 cup, but I'd like to know for sure.
We use 1 cup of Karo light corn syrup. Hope that helps! Thank you for watching and commenting! - Glenn and Kati
@CookingwithGlennandKati I used one q of Karo. I've made several batches of this caramel. It is delicious. I've been selling it as a fund raiser, to go toward my lung transplant.
That caramel look so delicious ! Nice recipe! I will definitely try it
We hope you enjoy it if you try making it! Thank you for watching and commenting! - Glenn and Kati
Cute!
I liked the recipe, and I will giving it a try. There is one thing that I really hated to see in your video. Everything was just fine, and it was going great until, until you showed the man wearing the baseball hat while sitting at the table. I am a firm believer and was raised that you don’t wear a hat in the house and you will not disgrace the dinner table by wearing a hat.
This video was entertaining as well as instructive. It rivals Martha Stewart, but I think comes out on top because of the cast of characters and all the from-the-garden ingredients. I think that even I could follow this and come out with a decent turkey and dressing. Thanks!
Thank you for your kind reply, Paul! We truly appreciate your support! - Glenn and Kati
Thank you. I'm going to try it
I hope it's as easy as you made it seem. Mouth is watering. Am going to make for christmas gifts. Winderful instructions. Very precise. Thanks
Please let us know if you ended up making it for your Christmas gifts. Happy New Year! - Glenn and Kati
Just wondering if at the right stage this recipe could be used to dip apples in it to make caramel apples on a wooden stick...Thanks for sharing! great video!
That's a great idea! We have not personally tried that to confirm but, if you do, please let us know how it turns out! Thank you for watching and commenting! - Glenn and Kati
Thank You!! My Parents used to go to Shipshewana all the time....and They loved visiting the Amish shop, so loved seeing this post! brought back such loving memories...
Thank you for watching and commenting! We love Shipshewana and it's great to hear about your parents having visited there so many times. It's such a wonderful place. - Glenn and Kati
Nice
Is it 2 cups of sugar
Yes! It is 2 cups of light brown sugar (packed!). Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment, Pamela! - Glenn and Kati
Good! Says the sweet child!!!😂😂😂❤❤❤❤
I love your Texas hash. It is soooo good. I had a big crowd to feed so I added a can of corn and a can of black beans. It fed 8 people easily.
I have an Amish candy store a mile away. They let people watch them make candy. They don't use thermometers they do everything by I measuring cups or just a cup so to make real Amish candy you have to do it like the Amish or it's just your candy. I'm not saying yours is bad but you don't make it like the Amish
Thank you for your response and feedback! Our caramels are based off the delicious ones we enjoyed in the Shipshewana, Indiana (a town with a significant Amish community). We have found that ours are as close in taste as we could get them to that of the ones in Shipshewana. We're grateful to have perfected our recipe since it's not so easy to make the 600 mile commute to our favorite Amish town that often! ;)
Are you cooking that on high r medium
Hello! We're so sorry that we're just now responding to your comment! If you're still wondering: we start cooking with the burner on HIGH, but we use a cooking thermometer to let us know when the pot and its content reach 235 degrees Fahrenheit (while stirring constantly!), which is when we then take the pot off the burner and add in the vanilla.
Really cool vid. Easy i struct. I am going to make them tonight
We hope they turned out well! Thanks for watching! - Glenn and Kati
I will try this caramel recipe. Lol
We hope you enjoy it! - Glenn and Kati
