I hate plastic reels.

Is this reel strong enough to take barracuda? I went on this boat deep sea fishing, it was 12 hours of non-stop barracudas😭. Both my reels Penn slammer 3 4500 and Daiwa saltist 3000 were broken due to the main gears got destroyed.😭 I can’t believe Penn slammer 3 4500 aka the tank got destroyed as well.

Good afternoon I just received my 10’ 7” hawaiin custom ordered directly from Okuma but mine looks different than yours from bottom of reel seat to end of the rod is only 12” . Can you measure yours to see if mine is a bad batch or they made changes to this rod If this is a new change I am going to return this rod and stick with my Rockaway surf rod

Do you use straight braid when you fish the lucky craft or callisa?Or do you use a little bit of leader on the end of it. If so, how do you attach the leader?Respond if you can brother. Thank you.

I never used baitcasting reel before. I just received it as a gift from my son. Can i use braided line in it? Your help is appreciated.

Ed could you verify the line set up on my reel you recommend. On this video I heard 30# braid to 20# fluorocarbon to a 8# leader. When I set my current reel based on your video about how to tie an FG knot to fluorocarbon I used 30# braided to 25# fluorocarbon and no leader. Please clarify? Thanks
