Turbskie sounds wildddd
Tssss definitely doing
Need that front lip bro
wheels look perfect. Like CSL wheels. what size wheels and tires and offset?
Where's the s3
Great video, wish they would lower the price on these since it cost more then the car is worth nowadays :( But at least this time the price is justifiable since its a well know and reliable bolt-on supercharger.
Is this with the stock fuel pump?
Hello! Can youbplease tell how you modified your ODB connector for work? Thank you!
Dude I thought it was going to be like the 335i where u can cut off the air box grommet and slide the alternator off without having to all this but then I realized I couldn’t and now I found this video and it has sealed my doom.
What a car
So just to go back to my comment I had made 2 years ago. I see that I hadn't explained things properly. So with the m50 intake manifold intalled, you could run your an oil catch can, the original ccv system or even the e39 m5s thinner ccv system (might be good to watch craig from build a beemer on his m50 swap.) The important thing to note is that you can draw too little or too much crank case vacuum from the engine. What will each do. So... Too little crank case vacuum and there will be air in your engine which could contaminate your oil with condensation and the works as well as create windage on your crankshaft and the best way to explain windage would be to imagine you are sprinting in a 100m race and the wind is pushing against you... you won't be able to run as fast as if there was no wind ie for the engine a reduction in power. Too much crankcase vacuum and you may pull oil through your ccv lines and a common symptom would be that there is oil leaking out of the top fitting on your valve cover pushing oil out past the seals. Another bad side about too much vacuum is that your low end and main bearings may suffer due to loss in oil pressure as the vacuum may reduce the oil pressure at the oil bearings where it sucks the oil out from the bearing itself. If you have a whole lot of crank case pressure however, meaning it is pushing a lot of air out of your ccv connection on top of your engine by your valve cover it would indicate that your piston rings are worn and or cylinder walls are ovular creating a bit more blow-by. Ever engine in the world even ones with so called gapless rings will have some blow-by as the rings have a gap in them and the engine would thus always leak a bit of air past the rings, but if its bad and you're burning oil as well then I would recommend rebuilding the engine. If you do replace your rings, get hastings rings, the original 2 piece oil ring on the m54 is nonesense and hastings provides a 3 piece oil ring set for the m54 without needing to mix and match with the m52tu. They also came all perfectly gapped to 0.2mm. So getting your vacuum pressures right is about the justs of this comment and the only way to check it is with a vacuum gauge and the works. Every engine will be different on this with different blow-bys but thickness of lines and things is generally the answer. (Engine engine creates vacuum from the pistons pulling air and on the intake it pulls from everywhere)
how does one control the amount of crank case vacuum with a catch can setup? Thanks
Hey dude, nice work! Where do you order this kit? I want to do the same
Bro What about engine ?? 3litre??
Can you put that tune on a a3?
why did you go turbo?
dope video man thanks! hows it holding up so far.
best 46 ever i seen
Hi mate, how much did the turbo build cost you, I'm also planning to add it to my 325i
How's it drive?
Wtf is that why didn’t they they just make a regular battery design 🤣
Going for a m54 street build/ time attack thinking supercharged or a nice turbo with no lag any opinions since you had both? Wanna push it to the limit first like 15 minutes+
hey bro love your vids, you able to link the turbo and manifold you got, from australia wanting to turbo my e46 325ci really hard to find a manifold and turbo for the m52. thanks!
Just curious to know if the oil pump was upgraded after installing the supercharger? And kind of upgrade was it if done?
In the long run the 328ci will win. Because 2.93 rear end makes for some great top end.
Both have 2.93 diff from factory.
There's an old saying, "No replacement for displacement" holds true, even in the BMW world.
if your engine is reving at 7000rpm and your tires are not squealing your clutch is getting destroyed.
На сколько я знаю RS в этом кузове не бывает...
Yes, there is also an 8V RS3
@@dubsessed9790, saloon is only 8v restyling, 8y. But this is just 8v.
@Mronssel I don't understand what you are trying to say, but there is BOTH an 8v and 8y RS3 saloon here in the US.
@@dubsessed9790, RS3: 8p 2011-2013 hatchback only, 8v 2015-2017 hatchback only, 8v facelift 2017-2020 sedan & hatch, 8y 2022-now day sedan & hatch. This is sedan 8v (is not 8v facelift) wich means RS3. Maybe tuning S3.
@Mronssel you confirmed what I said. However, nobody said this car was an rs3. Read the title.
Is it possible to install a turbo to an automatic 325i m54 2001
Sick
What wrap did you go with?
Best job without remove a/c system 👍
what tires did you have on for this
What. Was the reason for choosing turbo vs supercharger?
Sounds great!
Sounds amazing. What exhaust are u running
How is the clutchmasters clutch and flywheel.any chattering? Is it good for daily driving
Don't you think you may have a boost leak?
Rip the bong 😂😂
Awesome videos Brett! I plan on purchasing this supercharger kit for my 2003 BMW 330ci (5-Speed manual). Any recommendations on what other upgrades I should get for the supercharger kit to run smoothly? Any tips would be greatly apperciated!!
Sedan looks great, what wheels are you running? Sounds so good as well Nice job
no intercooler?
For the non M's alot of the kits dont come with intercoolers. Stage 2 from active autowork gets an intercooler but stage 1 is the supercharger kit
roughly what size intercooler? so I know what can generally be fit behind an OEM bumper
A Treadstone TR11 fits mint very nicely. Thats about as big as you can go tho.
