NONSENSE! All practical tests show that small wind turbines hardly generate any electricity! And only at very high costs! Because there is hardly any wind close to the ground. It is also extremely gusty, which usually shortens the service life extremely! Only if you need to be off grid & live close to the sea, you should install the largest possible wind turbine on a high mast. With solar modules, on the other hand, reliably generate electricity for 25 to 30 years at approx. 2% to 5% oft he cost of small wind turbines!

You guys S U C K big time; you only regurgitate the marketing lies/scam of the Archimedes company, the payback time is > 25 years it is just way to expensive to ever become a good alternative to many other cheaper & even really better wind turbines; it is also not a HAWT but a VAWT turned on its side. And it is not new, it was that in 2014.

It's compact for the area of catchment, it always is quick to respond to changing wind direction, logically design it could be made from lightweight materials the revolving part, easy to change generator assembly, I see it could become a best seller in kit format 👌

Are you sure about the output of this turbine is 1500 per year or monthly ?.1500/12= 125 kWh per month ?.= 4 kWh per day approximately?. Assuming 20 hours of operation 2kwh per 10 hours? Meaning it is 200 watts machine ?.

Hi. All those bolt-on bracing struts between the vanes tell me this design, clever though it is, flexes badly when revolving. This limits its r.p.m., its electrical output, its structural integrity, and produces vibration and possibly noise. It also has a relatively large "revolving mass" which will strain the bearings. Obviously it couldn't be scaled up to the size of a conventional wind turbine, to take advantage of increasing returns to scale. Rather than repeating how good it is, I suggest running full scientific comparisons with other small-scale turbines. Compare them for: 1/ Electrical output under carefully measured windspeeds. 2/ Tests to destruction to obtain an average longevity for each type. 3/ Record maintenance needed for each type until complete failure occurs. The best type may not be the highest in each category, but let's be honest, we can profitably sacrifice 10% efficiency in electricity production if the 90% turbine lasts three times as long and needs half the maintenance. Simple wind turbines have been used on farms for centuries to pump ground water into animal troughs. They are incredibly reliable, noiseless, and easy to balance. A 360 degree fan of "venetian blind" type vanes catch the wind, and today these can be made from ultra-lightweight aluminium (rather than wooden slats) so that the vibration producing revolving mass is kept to a minimum. Visually, they present a complete circle so that birds can see them coming. (Or in their rear-view mirrors if they don't😆). As the common "water trough" windmill has evolved and stood the test of time, I'd suggest we first see if that can be improved, especially in the "maintenance" and "longevity" categories. We need solid scientific tests done using at least 20 of each type of windmill to be tested, before presuming any conclusions. Windmill innovators invariably produce a lot of "spin", (pun intended), so top marks must go to the people who complete their scientific homework before announcing "breakthroughs". Cheers, P.R..
