"turnipboy commits tax evasion" Its a great little indy game that is tongue a cheek. its about 2-3 hours in length. Its on sale for 3$ on steam right now.

The platform argument is not really good. Goty covers the quality of the game. Not its availability.
I get your point, I guess I just think of game of the year as all aspect of the game which include things like accessibility and message instead of just the gameplay. And I think that when a studio chooses to isolate a large portion of the audience, that should be a negative mark.
