This technique has been around a long time, it was used in theaters for back drop sets at the turn of the last century. Everyone adds their own tricks and touches! It is nice to see how everyone uses these ideas. Nothing new under the sun! Old is new again!

Love it!! I've been trying to decide where to put my village this year too. I've been collecting the Currier & Ives houses and such for several years now and the village keeps getting bigger! I too have a small cottage, so the location is getting more complicated. LOL !! One year I used the shelves of a couple bookcases , last year it was along the back of the sofa table. I just added two of their barns, so I need more "country space. Setting it up is getting to be my favorite part of Christmas decorating!
