I have a 10 year old model S and the heater went out.. they called it the toaster. It’s powered directly from the battery and it heats up coolant or coils to provide heat to the cabin. $900.00 + for the repair 2 1/2 years ago.

Got mine replaced on my 2021 plaid S around Halloween last year. Same exact thing. Really hoping they replace everything with better parts, as it definitely seems to happen a lot on these cars. 🤞😬

I have a 10 year old Model S with 265,000 miles. Honestly I think it's better built in many ways than newer S's.

I am seriously considering a used plaid myself, are you planning on the rear camber arms to correct the tire wear issue?

If it regularly snows where you live you should likely get an AWD car and certainly should get highly rated snow tires. The "snow tires or AWD" argument is a false argument. AWD helps you to go and not a lot more in many cases. Snow tires help you go, stop, and steer far better and consistently than all-season or summer tires in snow. If you can't afford the AWD on the new car, you probably can't afford that car anyway. Buy a 2-4 year older version of the same thing with the AWD. You'll be ahead on depreciation versus new or newer, and you'll have a better car.

If you have the money to buy ANY Tesla, new OR used, you should buy some quality tires for it. I was always amazed at these cheapskates with expensive cars that were stuck in the snow on cheap tires. I would come across them while driving my cheap AWD Subaru on good snow tires. If I can afford it, what is your problem?

Wow you got a good deal on it especially with the Free supercharging. That in itself has the potential to pay for itself.

Nice wheel setup. The 19 inch ones will probably last longer for the tires than the 21 inch setup because of the camber.

I dislike the part about it turning into a BRICK 900 miles from home with less than 1100 miles on the odometer, not being able to put in neutral for a tow, and then waiting weeks for a part and repair while I paid for transportation home for my phole family, leaving it there. Happy Holidays! That's my number 1. My number 2 is the 'not trusting it at all' part.

Your issues are non-issues for most other drivers. Agree that having to disable adaptive cruise every time you start the car is almost a deal-breaker for me.

That’s a lot of work when it comes to buying a Tesla you’ll be broke once you drive it off the lot at the dealership.

Are you happy with your model S after a few months? Any repairs so far?

This is a very unreliable car. Mine (2025 with no recalls) locked itself into park the day after I bought it and had to be towed back to the dealer. It had a critical malfunction in the hybrid system, which turns out to be very common with these cars. The dealer service department does not know how to fix it and suggested that I pay $15,000 for a hybrid battery replacement because Mazda would not authorize it. I have seen a number of these advertised at very low mileage and cost because they were returned under the lemon law.

You don’t show how to disconnect the cables?

The question I have is how does this affect the Key Card. Does the key card still work normally? If you added new key cards, do they still work normally?

Will NEVER buy a Tesla. They are cheaply made and the quality of the entire car is below average.

Sorry but Teslas are absolute crap and built worse than any other car on the market. Astonishing since they have less to them than an ICE car

Have a paintless dent repair guy fix it. It will be done in less than 1 day and it will look like new.

I got 26.0 mpg on a 1400 mile trip with gas only. Avg speed was about 80 mph. During normal commutes to work its 50mpg avg.

My old Model 3 Dual Motor with boost had an abysmal 60-130 time of like 11-12 seconds. I could hardly pass anything on the highway. I sold that piece of junk for an S Plaid and I have absolutely zero regrets. Night and day difference. If I want the same performance as a M3P, I'll just change my Plaid acceleration to Sport mode.

I'm happy I'm not the only person that's been thinking about this. Been thinking about buying a used plaid. But I'm realizing it's about the same as a new model 3 performance, so I've been wondering if it's worth it. I'd only want the new model 3 for ambient lighting tbh

I upgraded my old M3P to a plaid S and no regret. Straight line acceleration is on another dimension compared to M3P. I have also driven the new highland M3P, 0-60 in 2.9s sure is quick, but still nothing compares to plaid. I have heard rumors that the newly refreshed plaid (or called plaid+) will be making 1500 hp, that'll smoke the lucid sapphire with less than half of its price, haha

Model 3 is a toy in comparison

Gotta be honest, I kind of disagree with this. Sure you could get a used model S plaid for around 50K, but for the same price you could get a brand new car with full warranties, sport seats, nicer looking interior with upgraded hardware, all the newer and near-future versions of FSD, a better looking front fascia, all with a 0-60 that’s only ~0.30 sec slower (according to the results in your video) Now once the model S plaid gets refreshed like the model 3 did, it’ll ABSOLUTELY be king again. But at that point, it’ll probably be pretty expensive and not within the 50K price range

Thanks for doing this for viewers! MPG was not as good as I expected. Our 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe 3.3 L V averaged about 28 mpg on a trip from Massachusetts to Florida round trip so apparently the only benefit of a PHEV is the electric only range. The Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid which isn't a PHEV gets 36 mpg on the highway. So the CX-90 is not great at being a traditional hybrid. Also, I lived in New England for over 40 years and we get 0 degree days in the winter and 100 degree days during the summer, and I have never left my vehicle running while refueling even with 3 kids and my wife in the car. And I rarely ever see anyone else doing it. It's only takes 3 minutes to refuel! And complaining about needing to use your turn signal? At that point I assumed you were trolling us lol.

Yeah, the yoke is not my favorite at all. I ordered my 24 Plaid with a regular steering wheel. Are they charging you a lot to do the swap?

I can’t believe you trade your z06 for a Bronco raptor ... I used to have a bronco raptor last year and I made a mistake thinking that is going to makes me feel like my first Raptor 0n 37. On top of that, the engine is too weak for the size of the bronco and living in Miami, my kids complaint me because has no AC vents on the rear seats.

Am i the only one that Iaughed at it
