The orange shawl is gorgeous. I have the pattern but never thought to make it bigger. Now I have a new project! No specific plans for this year. I am just trying to stay awake after work long enough to knit lol.

So pleased I saw on Instagram that you put up an episode! My plans for this year are to end it with less projects than it started with and to use yarn and patterns from stash where ever possible! I also want to get spinning more regularly and produce some useable yarn xx

So happy I noticed your instagram post and found your podcast. It's so nice to hear a British accent and to hear about familiar stores and places thank you. Re stores where you can get affordable yarn not sure if you mentioned Hobbycraft but they do 3 for 2 offers and The Works sells reasonably priced craft books and you can get points also most local yarn stores have a sale area in store or online. keep up the good work

I am totally in agreement with you on Chiagoo needles. They are SO good! I also love the Addi fixed circulars, but didn't like their interchangeable one bit. Your hats are fabulous - you're definitely a hat person, you look so stylish in every hat I've seen you wear.

This is a perfect podcast just as it is Gail, lots of info delivered in a calm , gentle, amusing style! Dont change a thing.

Another lovely episode Gail! Your description of the weather being a bit special made me laugh! I'd definitely try the tubular cast on - yes it is a faff, but not too much of one as you only cast on half the stitches to start with. It gives a lovely, rounded stretchy start to your knitting. I keep returning to the new Hintern Stein pattern called Step Up. It has a stand up collar style neckline which looks like it's lined in a contrasting colour. I don't know about you, but I love little details like that!

Gail what a great start you've made! You might have felt nervous, but it didn't come through at all. It was as if you were sitting at the other end of the sofa, having a chat with me. I sometimes think raglan increases look odd if the type of increase doesn't suit your knitting style. I'm sure once you've finished and blocked it, it will look fine. I will certainly be back to watch the next episode!
