Changing the oil on my 2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser
Recently purchased a 2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser with just over 180,000kms. The dealer I bought it from had changed the oil, but I thought I would change it again.

Replacing the Steering Damper on my P38 Range Rover

The original over 20 year old Land Rover part was just starting to show some wear in the form of a slightly cracked/torn bush on the steering damper, so decided to replace with a high quality Terrafirma brand HD damper. Probably overkill, but it looks nice and shiny now. Instagram: highlands_p38

I took the P38 to one of the national parks in NSW for a roam around. Beautiful day with amazing views, some small water crossing and muddy sections. Nothing the Range Rover couldn't cope with. Instagram: highlands_p38

Leave that oil on the frame. It will keep it from rusting.
yeah, but just that part won't rust. don't drive it in the salted roads in winter is Best.

You can with this engine because the filter mounts vertically, Its not really necessary i feel.
How are you liking terra firma? I went with old man emu.

Torque specs... Oil filter cap = 25 N•M Oil filter cap drainbolt = 12.5 N•m If you aren't going to drain the oil from the oil filter housing before removing the oil filter cap then there's no reason to change the small o-ring. To Jack up the front do I need to use a rubber part on the flat part of the jack to avoid damaging the front diff where the jack goes.
I did the same on mine. Such a huge difference. Handles 100 times better. Cut down body roll too.

Nice, going to look at 01 4.6 hse with 70k miles it’s been sitting for a bit gonna give it the run down, how reliable has this been always heard nightmares about p38s but honestly they don’t seem that bad
This one’s been very reliable. I stay on top of maintenance. If you can work on it yourself parts are cheap so not too bad
Great video, I just bought a 4.0 P38 I plan on servicing it next week. Can I ask, you drained the oil then out the sump plug back in to change the filter, Then put the new filter on then removed the sump plug - was this because the oil pan was not wide enough to catch the oil dripping from the sump plug and the oil filter at the same time?
Yes that’s exactly it. I normally have two drain pans but one was still full from another one of my vehicles.
