I feel so blessed that my precious daughter had a life-threatening infection at 5 weeks old, but survived because I was a Midwife and I knew people would listen to me. I insisted she was seen quickly, despite excuses, (from Drs I knew) I saved her life as when the respiratory arrest occurred, she was in the right place. Nearly 30 years later, I still give thanks to God that I had the training and respect so that I was taken seriously.

I would think that preemie’s would have better oxygen saturation and immune strength because of their close proximity to mom. Dr. Sears’ sleep research indicated that newborns had oxygen dips when they slept separately. Babies under 2 months were safer with mom, not away.

It's immensely frustrating because all the advice says you can leave them if they roll over onto their stomachs themselves, but then near the end of video/article says "so if they can roll both ways you can just let them sleep how they want." So if he can only roll back to front do I get up all night to flip him then?

That’s what I’ve been doing and it’s exhausting. I fear if I just leave him he might suffocate bcz he keeps rolling directly onto his face no matter much I roll him back over. He won’t even let me shift his face to the side so he can at least breathe. This is some of the most stressed I’ve felt in a while.

Sleep training is never recommended under 6 months and is a very personal decision. You would need to do some research and work out what is best for you, but being responsive to your baby day and night will give them a strong sense of security.

It amazing to listen to this. The reality is many parents will chose to co-sleep abd it is better to support people int heir decisions then to criticize and leave them alone by spreading fear. There is many dangers to babies everywhere, if we would be really paranoid we would need to keep them in sterile box, which would be even worse. I believe parents intuition, some research and common sense is best way to go about bringing up a child.
