Well this day was certainly a good one for my world! I had waited years to be able to be an aunt. I had friends younger than me who were already aunts, and I just couldn't wait! Question about the 'getting out of here.' Does that mean getting out of the hospital and going home, or getting out of isolation to a regular room?

I notice if Jack is not given a little time before he needs to get off his electronics, he is not as agreeable to turning it off - and he is 15 ! But that is just him - not sure if this will help with Simon. :)

What is it about kids/boys that they feel like they have to take something apart if it is at all possible? We have the same problem with the kids' chromebooks at school. (And don't forget the 5 second rule!)

Daniel and I did 50 crunches, 50 squats, 50 push ups yesterday. He does the real push ups. I do the easier ones with my knees. He did 8 pull ups- which I can’t do. Surprise that I’m not sore. Snowing here in Va. 1 inch so far.

Hey, Luke, do you think it would amuse/entertain Simon for a few minutes each day if we planned a Skype meet and I did a read aloud story for him? I've been racking my brains for something I can do from here to help you guys get through the days. The read aloud is the idea that seemed to have the most potential. Of course we'd have to figure out a time that works in both time zones, but I'd be willing to go to the library and stock up on books if you think Simon would enjoy it. Let me know. 1-2-3
