Where to put a 6 Gang switch panel in your Jeep wrangler JL
มุมมอง 4.4K2 ปีที่แล้ว
A quick video to show where i mounted my 6 gang switch panel in my 2020 Jeep Wrangler. I think using a phone mount on the grab handle offers the quickest and cleanest setup. Let me know what you think! I got both the switch panel and phone holder from amazon, the Switch panel is a Nirider, which is probably the same as Auxbeam. the phone holder is a "Hoolcar Grab Handle Cell Phone Holder" Modif...
Napa Maxi Trac Awning Setup on jeep wrangler jl
มุมมอง 4.2K2 ปีที่แล้ว
A quick setup video of the Napa Auto Parts Maxi Trac 8ft awning. Ive had the awning for about a year now and used it dozens of times. It has worked flawlessly for me and would highly recommend it if they ever become available again . Modifications on the JLU include 2” Mopar factory lift with fox shocks 17” Fuel vector wheels 35x12.50 Toyo Open country M/Ts Go Rhino SRM65 roof rack Go Rhino rol...
LED light Install in Rugged Ridge Arcus Rear Bumper
มุมมอง 5K2 ปีที่แล้ว
A quick install video of the some factory led fog lights into the Rugged Ridge Arcus rear bumper. The bumper matches the rubicon front steal bumper pretty well, so with the addition of the factory fog lights, it looks really clean. The install was pretty simple given the amount of room to work with, I just had to make a custom bracket for the led lights, I used the back of the bolts for the bum...
Smittybilt SRC roof rack review for Jeep Wrangler JL
มุมมอง 8K2 ปีที่แล้ว
After a year with the Smittybilt SRC roof rack, I had enough! it looked cool and performed well. However it was heavy, loud and in the way. I switched to the Go Rhino SRM rack with the roll bar mounts, the system feels secure, quite and pretty light. I run a Smittybilt Gen 2 roof top tent and a Napa 8ft awning both racks carried the load just fine.
Jeep Wrangler JL Aux battery install
มุมมอง 25K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Install of the Aux battery in my 2020 Jeep Wrangler JL with 39,000 miles The symptoms that lead up to the replacement was the remote start failing to work, and the start stop screen saying "battery charging" then a no start after sitting a week. the install is pretty simple if you remove the whole fender, you will need to order some spare fender clips before you start, if you have to get them f...
Jeep Wrangler JL Muffler Delete
มุมมอง 12K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Custom High clearance exhaust for my 2020 Wrangler JLU. I made it myself after seeing what companys like flowmaster , pypes and magnaflow was charging for some pipe that by all reviews didn't fit well. This cost me less then 10 dollars because I decided to weld the pipes together instead of clamping, this made for a cleaner looking finish. This looks nice with my high clearance Rugged Ridge rea...

Would you be able to wire into the factory reverse light so they come on automatically? Or would the voltage difference cause an error on the BCM
@@travisevans531 I’m sure you could but the right way would be to run the reverse to a relay.
Service manual recommends removing tire, removing the mud guard only - way fewer bolts/clips - leaves the fender guard alone....and just move the mud guard out of the way and unbolt the battery case from underneath. Both this method shown and removing the fuse box from above are way too much effort and chance to break connectors/electrical wires compared to the factory service manual. Mopar gets it right sometimes.
Where the dimensions for the awning?
You made this 1000 times harder
great video , I followed all the instructions came with the bumper now getting the unavailable backup sensor reading .. uff 2024 rubicon
My camera doesn’t center itself in the casting camera sleeve any help with that it’s off center so in reverse half my view Is Blocked please help
just what ive been looking for. Been wracking my brain on where the mount the underhood box and it barely doesn't fit by the battery, but raising it up a tad like that is just what i need.
Doing the same thing right now
Just for anyone curious- the ARB room does work. I saw a video where a woman did it and it worked perfectly
do your bump stops still press the tire? jus installed this and mine ar about 1-2 inches short.. doe this matter since it's a stronger carrier?
Doesn’t matter, kept mine in to prevent water from entering.
Does this turn on engine lights?
No not at all
Good idea with the phone holder.
Are you connected to a roof rack ?
Yes it’s mounted to the roof rack with the supplied hardware
"Review" for the SRC ends at 0:55. The rest of the video is an install for a completely different product.
does anyone know if this also fits the JK. I have the front bumper but can't find the rear.
I’m wondering the same , I’m sure there would be some modifications..
Nice video, Are you connected to acc fuse? Would you mind sharing the way you wired your pods
You only need to hang part of the well down like a few clips and 2 screws. This was way overkill, fender doesn't need to come off at all. Did mine last week. Just remove the wheel. Very easy.
Nice

Got an Instagram?
Yes but it’s just about grass roots drifting
@@BasoholMedia ohh
Thanks for this. I have the front and want the back to match. Where did you put your license plate?
I welded a mount to the rugged ridge tire mount
Where was the review? 🤷🏼♀️
We keep getting new ones for free because they don't last 36 mos. as stated on the aux batt. Its covered under warranty the dealer does it for free! haha!!
What type of harness did you get from the dealership?
A factory harness for the front fog lights, since they were factory I was having a hard time finding a way to plug them in. No parts store sold a pig tail of the plug needed but the harness was cheap and at the dealer
🔥🔥🔥🧡🧡🧡
Hey Brad, Thanks, this is a perfectly acceptable way to do this. Appreciate you sharing.
Finally tracked one down. It's coming in today. Hot dang!
Damn, do u have other angle shots
Yes, on my Instagram page. Same tag. But drone footage and from the turbo looking forward
Dope
Thanks
To hell with those clips!
From a business standpoint, I totally get why Chrysler decided to make the aux battery hard to replace… but it’s absolutely terrible.. I am switching to a dual battery setup as soon as mine takes a shit
Looks good! My question is , does the Rugged Ridge tire carrier require that you move the third brake light to the new location or is that a separate thing you did? I am planning on replacing my rear bumper with one that doesn't have a place for the license plate and my plan was to move it in front of the spare with a relocation bracket where you mounted the brake light.
It requires it, you could skip that step a go with other options like a third brake light ring in the spare
Im not gone do that for sure .
Not that many photos/videos of the RR Arcus rear bumper out there on the internet. Thanks! I have the front RR Arcus and debating on getting the rear to match. I just ordered the new TeraFlex JL License Plate Relocation Kit, so I think I'm ready to pull the trigger. I also have the Mopar lift with fox shocks, it looks like the bumper exposes the shock body, very nice touch!
Your right about not many pictures. Only the ones on rugged ridges website and one of a stock JEEP. But it is my favorite bumper I’ve seen, online and in person. Look at getting the fishbone corner guards after you get the bumper
Don't do it this way. 1 hr or less total time doing it the right way.
How is your rear bumper any corrosion?
None whatsoever, the finish is close to my factory steel rubicon bumper. The finish seems durable too, no sun fade or chipping.
Your video sucks
Don't waste you time with this method. Look at the videos for the proper too mount. This method will require you to waste money on new clips. Also. Looking at this from the top there is no way to get this box open from the bottomed.
Do you have the v6 gasoline motor? If not this video won’t be relevant for you
@@BasoholMedia yes and I did the job this morning using the top method and it look about 45 minutes or less. I have removed the fenders and liners on my other JLU to change them. Not sure why anyone would to do that for maintenance
Looks good, I was thinking about some Baja Design ones and doing that... thanks for the mounting idea.
Thank you, I had factory ones from and old bumper, I tried selling then tried giving away for free lol I didn’t want to toss them so I figured this out
Thanks for the video, I was actually considering the smittybilt. I routinely take the top on and off, I liked that it would work topless too. I was also considering the barricade HD that looks just like the SRC except it mounts under the lip of the hard top in the rear (utilizing the aft 2 hard top bolts) instead of the on the frame rail. This alleviates the bars sticking out at the tailights. But I feared that was a lot of weight in that little spot. Maybe I need a little more research
That’s why I got the rack as well. It was heavy and loud. I can’t imagine it with a soft top. I had one of the first ones, so many they addressed the rattling and poor fitment of the tubes. It looks cool and servers a purpose. But if you wheel a lot don’t want extra clunking noises it’s not for you
Going through the fuse box was much easier and not fussing with clips. Also, if you have a 2.0T engine, you might NOT have an aux battery. I have a 2019 Rubicon Unlimited 2.0T...no Aux battery and it was quick and easy to put it back together after finding any empty space.
You still can with the JL’s I got a 2020 sport S. Honestly Jeep honestly didn’t need the Aux battery and is a waste in my opinion. If the did a power converter type deal.
Does your model have aux switches ?
@@vincentsmalley3073 Yes it does. And, I have the start/stop...which I'm no engineer, but I would think that's what the additional battery would be for. But, beats me. I just know for next time, I don't have one.
Hi! And what does this little battery do, why is it in the car?
If your 2.0 is the eTorque, you have the 48v battery by the back tire. Jeep made the 2.0 eTorque in 2019 and then took that Technology to the 3.6.
Excellent video. The 4-in round Magnaflow three chamber Muffler sounds very good on the 3.8. Straight pipe sounds like trash. Just saying people if you want good sound MagnaFlow 4inch round 3 chamber Muffler. It goes on the driver's side just out of the y-pipe. Sounds amazing with no drone. It's also to do it yourselfer..✌❤🙂
Back in stock again! Just ordered mine for pickup at the local NAPA. Wonder if the corners where the poles swivel and attach are still metal or did they get swapped out for plastic? The original design had metal pieces but most other awnings that this imitates have a hard but somewhat flexible plastic. Yours looks like it might be plastic. Great demo!
Thanks man! Mine just got destroyed yesterday! Wasn’t windy all day then a strong gust folded is like a pretzel, in the awnings defense I didn’t have it tied down because it was so calm
@@BasoholMedia dang, that's tough
My god. So good.
30 seconds of SRC defender, 4 minutes on the goRhino rack
That’s about as long as you’d want the SRC rack on your JEEP
@@BasoholMedia hahaha I just spent 8 hours installing it, now I have to live with it 😮💨
@@cobycarranza174 hopefully you have better luck, my would rattle loose after a week, also damaged the paint
Brad, thanks for the good video. Doing the same to my JL Arcus rear bumper. Having trouble finding the correct M12 flange nuts. Is the thread 1.75 (coarse), 1.5 (fine), or 1.25 (extra fine) thread? Thanks in advance.
Great video.....
Great video
Did you have any hardware problems? Did bolts that came with unit work fine?
Yes the supplied bolts worked as they should.
any idea which arb annex room would attach to it? is it the 2000x2500 or 2500x2500? thx
I’m not sure but I’ll try and find out
@@BasoholMedia awesome thank u. i was able to get one of these and the next step is the arb annex room but want to make sure i get the right one..from what i can find it should be the 2500x2500 but it's always nice to get as much info as possible. thank u for the reply
@@adamant7146 that sounds right because it’s 8ft by 8ft, and 2500 is mm with 8ft
