I loved this book. It broke down so many established borders. Country borders/nationality, gender, ethnicity, food, language (Haruko's language sounds almost like haiku to my ear), parentage. Everything is fluid.

Hello Mary! There are a lot of trees in the Centennial Park and Public Square area, but they peaked during the last week of March so the blossoms are most likely gone now. Sorry!
