    Jimmy may not want to admit it, but that crazy interlude on Whole Lotta Love wasn't inspired by some old blues master. You notice how deftly he dismisses the album before Magical Mystery Tour. Oh, Jimmy, you silly sod!

    The Beatles are the greatest band in the bloody world. What they did inside of 10 years or less... Zeppelin couldn't do in a life time. Zeppelin 1 wasn't anything to write home about either Jimmy 🙄a cover record and band. Same with Pink Floyd, my second favourite band, what they did, Zeppelin only wished they could do. I like a few songs from Zeppelin, i like 2 of their records, but i don't like Jimmy very much, after i found out about stealing music and the whole Lori 13 was she? Jimmy was shagging her.. pedo c*nt. And i don't wanna hear " oh it was a different time, different train of thought" rubbish...nah man i can't or couldn't deal with Jimmy for many years. I finally got over it and manage to separate the music from the musician. Zep were a collage band, nothing more, Jimmy was a rock star, not a musician, nothing more..end of.

    The Rain Song was inspired by “Something “ by the Beatles, after George H. told Bonzo they didn’t have any ballads.Jimmy took liberties of opening the song with the same 2 chords that open “Something”.

    The Beatles ans Led Zeppelin are both great bands. They were both the best bands in the world in the 60's (The Beatles) and the 70's (Led Zeppelin). So no animosity here. Both were great bands of their time.

    Page is looking back on the Beatles, but also with the possibility that the Beatles may regroup and record again. The Beatles were, at this point, almost eclipsed by Wings, so it’s almost too soon to even get a real sense of perspective about how MASSIVE the influence of the Beatles really was. Sometimes things need more time and more historical perspective.

    Dismissing early Beatles shows blatant ignorance as to what the music industry was like at the time and how much the band changed the musical landscape right from their first record. There was nothing like them. Certainly nothing as good as them. That’s true all the way from 1962 - 1970.

    • @pb6270
      @pb6270 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'd say it's unlikely jimmy page was utterly ignorant about all that but may have a differing opinion about the actual music

  • @gabrielmoreno9455
    @gabrielmoreno9455 ปีที่แล้ว

    People are saying that "changing that lot in six years" is crazy, but they are ignoring the fact that the Beatles were already VERY good in their first six years, and even more, they had lots of previous experience as a life act (from 1958 to 1962, four years playing together before their first record). So this didn't come out of nowhere. First records were very good and had some brilliant songs. "Yesterday", "In my life", "I've just seen a face", "All my loving", "Yes it is", "No reply", and many other songs, most bands would just sell a limb just to write one of them. And they all came before the psychedelic albums. It is much more of a slower and consistent transition than some people might try to recognize.
