I've always had trouble remembering if the lower looper thread went under or over. My manual isn't clear about that. I just threaded it ( blue) over. It worked! Thank you!

thank you for this video !! but i wanted to know about the tension of the machine ?? for some reason my tension is making the stitch super tight and I’ve changed the levels of them from 0-9 but they all look the same. Could it be something wrong with the threading ??

Wow. I'm looking to buy a serger. I'm looking at second-hand machines. This machine looks to be more difficult to thread. It seemed difficult for even you to get it through the tension disc's.

My third time watching this, I now understand why your machine looks different than mine. Mine is a Speedylock 234DE. But it helped me anyway. I was saying bad things. I ran out of lower looper thread with only two inches left to serge. And then it took me two hours of threading, rethreading testing and swearing. I gave up and started looking at videos. I set up my serger in clear view of tv with TH-cam and watched videos until I got it to work.

Question, for the 2nd thread after you put it in the hammer looking thing, do you put the tread in the same hole as the 1st thread? That was the only part I couldn't see and I cannot figure out because the picture shows something different. Thank you so much for the video

Well today was the day I had to finally rethread and I was near tears before finding your two part video instructions. Thank you thank you thank you!!! If you have any tension/stitch length tips and tricks - share them :)

Hi Patti! Thanks for the kind words, and I’m glad you found some tips you could use. I really liked my Speedylock once I mastered threading. As best I can remember, you’ll want to lower the tension for thicker seams or fabrics. Did you receive a manual with your machine? If not, search online and I think it’s still available. I remember mine having tips on this, as well as some good stuff on rolled/lettuce hems etc Best wishes to you!
