This is not a bison. Bison are extinct a hundred years ago with useless imbred genes. These are mostly Canadian Buffalo genes. You can tell by color, size and shape what they are. And we have ranchers baiting with food that breed them with European strains. Dirty truck American don't want to hear. I cared for herds 50 years ago in neb and okla. These aren't even similar.

If you want to see Johnston Ridge, hike the Boundary West Trail starting at The Hummocks trails. Excellent trail and worth the effort. Johnston Ridge is eerie with nobody there!!

Great video, forgive my ignorerance but I didn't expect snow to be up there. Must be higher up than I thought. I'm planning on going there this weekend but kind of sad about the smoke....

Was there today. Still closed. Park ranger told me .9 miles hike from the current parking lot at the end is a great view. Also up at the education am center is open. 7 miles farther away than Johnston Ridge though.

It's a beautiful trail through the giant redwoods. Great footage tempts us to visit this place on one of our next trips. 👍 New Sub here. 🙂

I've been here! This is the columbus icefield skywalk. If i remember correctly, they said that it could hold 2 commercial airplanes and be fine.
