I disagree. There's a balance to everything that I think he executed perfectly. You can be super lyrical but the downside is you will also come off as mechanical and robotic. Or you can be mainstream but then you run the risk of being simple and shallow. That super lyrical stuff has a very short shelf life because the lyrics and bar setups are very dependent on the era. once that era passes then those setups now sound like gimmicks. Another flaw with super lyrical mc's is that they often have poor rhythm & timing. They rely to heavily on their wordplay that they neglect musical timing. To me Pac had the best vocals, the best rhythm and he rapped flawlessly in a pocket. He didn't need the best producers in fact his best records are on tracks with engineers that were considered subpar. I don't recall hearing Pac on a song with other Mc's where he just got outrapped, There's only 2 songs I can think of where he didn't have the best verse. But I respect the discussion✌

King sold 568K first week, number 1 film same time, number one single with my love with Justin and 4 singles from King album done well, internationally.

Commercially Ti, he was selling more than Wayne, but Wayne probably had the streets with mixtapes and Carter 2 still being in rotation. Wayne didn't start outselling. Ti until 2008. 04-07 Ti outsold Wayne

They gave him that Dave East push and he fell back into his niche because he’s not a radio records guy and that sound doesn’t really resonate with today if you can’t deliver billboard records. The niche fan base can’t get you worldwide success. Benny ain’t delivering the BIG records. But even if he don’t get a big record I’d at least want him to get a Grammy or at least a nomination.
