Atzmannig ridge walk, Fantastic Mountain Views Galore. Switzerland
Taking the ski lift in true Swiss style we walked the up and down ridge walk from Atzmannig, about an hour's drive from Zurich. The views were breath-taking superb, particularly of the Alp's mountains when you see taller mountains behind virtually every view. A shortish walk around 5 miles

A long planned trip to Monza to see the 2024 Italian Grand Prix. Flights, hotels and tickets booked long ago, the day came with much excitement. Couldn't have wished for a better result. Ferrari winning at Monza was just fabulous. I was last at the Italian Grand Prix in 1977 and the Tifosi went home when the Ferraris broke down. We hike up MT COOLUM to find out if this is the best view in South East, Queensland

I was told Mount Coolum offered the best view in South East Queensland Australia. The weather was fine last Friday , so we decided to climb it. It certain was a great view but as an Englishman in Australia, I do not have the experience of climbing other mountains or hills in Queensland to make a final judgement. You make the judgement if you like.. Like Ngungun and Beerburram which I have climb...

Join us as we walk a big leg of the Coastal walk from Stumers Creek, where a sky diving club landed on the beach. Apart from the lovely sand and sea washing up onto the beach to keep you realising to walk the beaches is a treasure, we found a Coastal Python cold from a dip in the sea (not a very good idea) and creeks with tan colours water making for real constraints. There are two Glass House Mountains, Beerburram and Ngungun which you can hike up. The path on Beerburram turns into concrete all way the top. The view is a great, as these mountains stand alone from each, across the Sunshine Coast coastal plain and of the other Glass House Mountains. The path is steep and can we walk in normal walking boots. Enjoy

Cartwright Point, Sunshine Coast, Australia, with smashing waves and a lighthouse to boot

At the end of the long sandy beach from Dicky Beach to Cartwright Point roughly 12 and half kilometres is Cartwright Point. Here the sea and land met big time. The way the sea crashes into the rocks at the point is spectacular. The sea creates a geyser effect as it shoots up such is the force in which it hits the rocks. WOW

Thank you so much for this it helped me today.

Was there today. Great vid
Well done George. A visualisation of exactly how much I love my wee 1.8 se prht. I just put Bridgestone turanza 6, 205, 55s on it, found it a bit to light l on the back. So checked the pressure and the bods had them all at 35 psi! So I reduced that to the 29 psi (all round) like the manual advises. I've yet to give it a good B road test, but I was wondering if you had a view on the best tyre profile/pressure? Thanks.
@paulpiacentini Thanks for coming back to me. The tyre pressure I use is 29 psi and found MX5 likes that. It is a 1.8 ltr bit ioften feels like my older 2.0 ltr.. Enjoy this fabulous car.
@@georgemackley5432 yup, thanks George. Just had a run at 29 psi. Seems just right 👍
My friend and I are off to walk this today.
So how was it Tessa? It is a nice walk
@@georgemackley5432 it was as gorgeous as expected. We then took the ferry across from Hastings Street to Noosa Marina, had brunch then back. Then drove to Peregian Beach. A busy but delightful day.
Just an incredible weekend, dad! Absolutely loved it :) Some dared to dream that Ferrari could take the win.. and they did! Amazing scenes. Great video. Love J
@@JoelMackley-u1g Thank you Joel. It will always be there to watch again. Thanks for a brilliant weekend too. ❤️
Thanks for uploading so many videos of Huez :) This resort was my dream to go to, and I'm going there with some friends in the upcoming february, so I'm absolutely thrilled and happy. I love your videos of Huez. We will have some beginner friends too and your videos help a lot to get some ideas which slopes will fit everyone's needs. :) Keep it up, take care and have fun next season, it's coming sooooooooon. 🤩
Thank you so much. I am so pleased the videos of Alpe D'Huez have helped you decide on a ski holiday there. It is a very special place and big enough to cope with every type of skier. Enjoy your ski holiday in February

No sharks Joel. Not sure they are in these waters. At Dolphin View near this place, we saw a pod of Dolphins Breaching and having fun

Yes Joel a glorious surprise as it is quite hidden with the trees. You are walking on a low path, therefore you don't look down on it

Loved watching that, this section is the most scenic on the 127 mile route.
Thank you 😁 it is a very pretty part of the canal
That looks amazing and just the place for me as I am a beginner. There are no cliff edges and it all looks flat and wide. A few questions please: - is this all part of Alpe de’huez or does it require separate ski passes? - approximately how much does the ski equipment and clothing hire cost? - finally, how long are these runs? Thanks in advance.
All the runs in Alpe D'Huez are on one ski pass around 240 euros for 6 days. I would buy my own clothes but skiset on the web hire boots helmet and skis for about 115 euros. The runs down the from 2800 are 2 to 3 Kms long. However what is brilliant about Alpe D'Huez is all the green runs are around the village. Other resorts greens are a bus ride away or the topic of the mountain. I hope this helps 😄
@@georgemackley5432that’s very helpful, thanks. Is that ski equipment an estimate for the 6 days? Do you recommend any places to stay whilst there? Thanks again
@@curiousjoe395 I use the Alpe D'Huez council accomodation self catering web site Pierre et Vacance. Just put accomodation in Alpe D'Huez into Google and plenty comes up. Fly to Grenoble. Use Ben's Bus to get to the resort. Hire us all for 6 days
Nice
😂😂 et après le remplissage d'adblu s'était automatiquement au bout de 10 minutes !
Thank you I found it switched off earlier than 10 minutes. But it does automatically switch off
What’s the approximate distance on this please?
Top to bottom about 2 kilometres. If skiing in a busy week ski this run early as it can get cut up by traffic
@@georgemackley5432 thanks. Are there other beginner friendly slopes at this resort too?
@@curiousjoe395 Oh yes it is one of the good features of Alpe D'Huez that around the village there are many green runs and also the bunny lift us right by the main lift out of the village. I have a TH-cam vid showing the greens if you want to see what they are like. Thanks
Thank you! Just bought a E class, was looking for the lever!
No problem I had the same issue. So pleased it helped. Enjoy your E Class. They are such great cars
A lovely video which illustrates brilliantly how wonderful Alpe d'Huez is for beginners. But I'd much prefer to hear the skis on snow than a few repeated chords of extremely boring music. I turned the sound off.
Thank you. It is why I'm publishing ski run videos.
By the sound of your skis, I'd be waiting another hour before going out!! But I'm old now and like an easy time of things! I can't wait to try this run, it looks gorgeous, we'll be there in five weeks and counting.
Enjoy your time at Alpe D'Huez. A great big resort.
The Alhambra wasn't "given back" It was taken with the conquest of Granada
The most exquisite parts are the Moorish Palaces and Gardens u seem to have missed entirely.
Hi John. I have been found out!! Watch out for part 2 in April when I go back and understand the ticketing system. Thanks 👍
Hello, I was searching for some video of this specific ski run to show a friend, and I discovered that I am on your video. At 0:25 white coat with blue pants and a bag. And 1:37 passing by. It was very fun to find this out. Have a nice day, and maybe see you at Alpes d'Huez another time ^^
Thank you Victor. I usually go to Alpe D'Huez but not this year as I went to Tignes this year. So if next year suits we might meet up. 😎
I like the video but audio is really difficult to hear your words.Since the vid is new I'd rerecord the audio and post again! Amd thanks for the vids. They are helpful
Hey @georgemackley5432 this will be my second winter vacation ever. Before you enter the loup blanc, you have to do a blue part first, right? How steep is that one or is it just a hidden green one?
Hello thank you for your comment. Alpe D'Huez is brilliant for beginnings and intermediates. The green are all around the village and are reasonably steep in places but most are broad and flat. My first ski week in the resort I never got off the greens as they are varied in their terrain plus fun to ski. I hope this helps
@@georgemackley5432 Thank you! Helpful video btw :)
@@romanadebruyne Sorry the blue down to enter the Loup Blanc is an easy blue. Actually skiing at the moment in Tignes and the blues here are tougher than those in Alpe D'Huez
Another excellent video George. I was there for a wildcamp on top some weeks ago (recent video on my channel) and did it the other way around. Nice to see what the top looks like on a bright crisp day. Thanks for the video :) Cheers, Warren
HI Warren Thank you for kind comments. Will have a look at your TH-cam account. for your walk
Fantastic route up there George. Lovely video. I have been atop Ingleborough so many times but not up from Clapham - yet. To be done! Cheers, Warren :)
H Warren. Thank you. Yes I walk this twice a year at this time of year before Christmas to round up my walking year. It is nice to return to Clapham with its Saw Mill coffee house and Bunk House Bar and coffee bar for a welcome beverage at the end of the walk
Brilliant memories. Peter muller
That looks a lovely walk - written description would be helpful. We did the lower path of Kentmere Valley to the reservoir, not as attractive as this walk.
Stunning! Can’t beat time up’ dale
Such a great day. The sun was so bright and big in the sky. However so much rain the top was quite boggy.
What colour is this slope
Hi Evie. It is a red piste. The top and section towards the end where the piste is squeezed by the rock face is quite steep and can be icy later in the day. I hope this helps 😁
Very inspiring - credit to you all for getting to the top of Baugh Fell. It's one near the top of my list of to do's of the Dales 30 so was curious to see this video. Really enjoyed it. I heard it is the least climbed of the Dales 30 because of the long walk ins to access it and because it is so incredibly boggy!! Thats why take my hat off to anyone I ever hear who has climbed it. I also think it has a powerful presence especially especially from the Garsdale side. Well done again.
Hey Robin. Thank you so much. Yes a tough walk and it was dryer than of late. I may be tougher with it being soggy underfoot. I have only a few more to get on TH-cam but they are a bit far flung or the weather is against me. Enjoy your walking and thank you again for your kind comments ☺️
