The best thing l ever did was keep all my early Madden games (2001-2008) and not play them for about 15 years!! Now they are like brand new to me again and I'm having a blast with them!! Madden on commentary, better players back then, player ratings meant so much, the game was smooth, hits felt harder, and the atmosphere made you feel like you were in the stadium!!

Just got this game for ps2, why are there so many players rated 99 overall on this ps2 version? I thought I read somewhere that there weren’t any 99 overall players this year?

My only knock on this game is that the ball looked comically big. It looked like a damn rugby ball and you couldn't see the white lines spiraling on the ball when you threw it. It ended up looking like they were throwing an NFL football.

3:51 CPU was extra disrespectful but paid for it in the end haha. I've never seen the AI make a mistake like that before. Another reason why I love these old games haha.

This game will forever hold a special place in my ❤️ it was my 1st NCAA game and helped grow my love of CFB. Although, its not the masterpiece that is NCAA 04, both are still my favorites😊

Og Xbox was a great console. Only issue was the controller size. But once you got use to it, you don’t even notice.

Xbox version was better than PS2 version. Graphics wise it’s not even close. The A.I. and body collisions are different on Xbox as well. Xbox plays like a computer and PS2 plays like an arcade when it’s comes to simulation.

Is there an option in the settings to change Game Speed? The gameplay looks great, I just have a preference for slower game speed.

I will admit this game did suck on the PlayStation 3 back then but compared to all the modern basketball games they have out now and how bad those are this game is actually a lot better compared to the modern games these days

I have this game since 2010 and it was amazing. I also did franchise mode for the 2014 NFL season as the Patriots and the Eagles and again for the 2015 NFL season as the Steelers and the Seahawks. I also add my own custom soundtracks consist of classic NFL fight songs (like Hail to the Redskins, Fly Eagles Fly, Rams Marching Song, The Raiders, Go You Packers Go, Miami Dolphins #1, etc.) as stadium music which makes it more awesome.

I actually invented the "shake blitz" in this game online. The 1st one to find it and do it. It was absolutely unstoppable. I got ranked in the top 10 nationally with the blitz. This was my favorite madden of all time. It also had the unstoppable panthers wildcat play with cam Newton.
