Hi! Yes we are still happy with it and still use it, but not as often. 4 adult bikes is quite a weight but the rack and the van can handle it, thankfully!

I also worried initially about the weight, but.... manufacturer of the tow bar will give the max trailer nose weight. I'd assume there's a relationship between the max nose weight and the weight carried with these racks. Interesting thing is that most of these carriers specs don't reference the nose weight or any other features of the tow bar, so they must be OK for practically any car. Maybe this is because nose weight forms a vector with pulling force For my car max nose weight is 100Kg (and it's not that high), and un-braked towing load is about 750Kg. Consider the vector combining those two forces... I think, that's plenty enough for 4 bikes.

We have re assembled it every summer since. So we have just had our 3rd summer with it. It is still in excellent condition and feel it was a good value purchase. We use the filter that came with the pool and I test and treat the water with chlorine.

We did Lauterbrunnen a few years back it was absolutely amazing!! We wanted to do Zermatt then but we’re only in Switzerland for 6 days. It was so worth the wait to do it properly this time.

We bought it off Amazon in March 2020

There was a few place where it was stuck to the frame on the loops the frame goes through. However we managed to get them off ok.

Thanks for your comment. You can’t do any free swimming in it as just not long enough- Only tethered. My sons 6ft and I’m 5ft 4. When the water level dropped a bit (from the splashing) even my fingertips occasionally brushed the floor so the deeper the better. We tried to run the pump about 8 hours a day- sometimes daytime and sometimes evening. We’re not on a water meter so not sure of cost to fill it but it took about 5hours. Hope that helps you 🙂

Definitely would recommend! Generally it got used 4 times a week. You don’t need to change the water, you just need to test and treat with the chlorine etc. I bought a pool treatment kit and it came with all the instructions and chemicals. When it was cold my son wore a wetsuit but when it was sunny and warm it was fine.

We were veery happy with the quality of the pool.

@@MackVentures that's interesting that your Dad was born in Calcutta..it's more of the camping culture not picking up in India mostly because of security issues that we face which does not make it a safe option...I am trying to settle outside India just for van camping:-)

Maybe you haven’t opened it wide enough before placing on the ball. Try open it really wide, put on the ball then give it a wiggle before tightening it. Ours doesn’t move at all when fitted correctly.

Yeah....that wasn't it - there were two sets of instructions in the box. One looked like a duplicate, then I got to the end of the build and saw the tow bar insert in the box. Probably should have paid attention at the start! Thanks very much for your response nonetheless.

Probably not. Ours is 1m and even then our fingertips would occasionally skim the bottom.

The Halfords one looks very similar. You just need to make sure you have the electric socket at the rear of your vehicle next to the tow at. I don’t fully understand the last question. Do you mean the actual tow bar and electric socket in the vehicle? If so then you have to get that fitted separately if you don’t already have one, it’s not included.
