When I was younger, camping, fishing, and hunting were a regular part of my life growing up in Arizona. It all fell away over time.
But now I'm pulling my past out and giving it to my children so they can find their own love of God's creations, have adventures, and make their own campfire stories. Except now I'm in the great state of Ohio.

My son and I went on a boy's date to Motts Military Museum in Groveport, Ohio.

Got to head out to Logan, Ohio for a deer hunt. I didn't get a deer, but it's never a bad day when you get to be outdoors and get some fresh air.
Fairy Hunting Lake Hope State Park (Cabin #19)

We spent the weekend at Lake Hope in the Iron Furnace cabins. We had an amazing & relaxing time hiking, fairy-hunting, checking out a historic cemetery, and watching the OH vs. MI game. Camping at Kiser Lake State Park (Site #74)

We came to Kiser Lake last Summer and had a blast, this time around we filmed it! It rained on us quite a bit, but that's all part of the fun, and it's part & parcel to being in nature. My daughter and I went into the boonies of Battelle Darby Metro Park and hit campsite #4. We had a blast getting to & from there. Lenny eats Ramen, whittles sticks, and does amateur basket-weaving! Listen, when you're cooking for little kids, you end up "inventing" a lot of meals, that's what this is. I'm sure there's a lot of you out there that can relate. My day job is a whirlwind right now, so I'm in one of those seasons. Yes, dad's tired, but my babies still need to eat!
Cheap & Easy (whole) Roasted Chicken!

Monday's are the worst, and when I get home from work I really don't feel like getting too crazy making dinner. So here we take a whole chicken, spatchcock it, and then roast it to amazingness. Be careful with those knives! And don't touch hot pans!
Hiking Indian Run Falls - Dublin, Ohio!

Ohio Spring is being a bit unpredictable, but it wasn't snowing or raining, so we decided to take advantage of the window and take a short hike! Indian Run Falls is an awesome little spot right in the middle of old Dublin Ohio. Set your GPS for the Dublin Library, park for free, and just take the short walk in. It's an absolutely beautiful trail, and a blast for kids!
Easy Clam Chowder!

Well our plans to go on a hike were foiled by the Ohio Spring weather, so we did the next best thing and made a nice winter meal, clam chowder! Shoutout to @BamaSaltwater for turning me on to the Sord knives, they're great, and I use them for everything.
