There is no wrong way or right way
I think there probably is, this said i think its more accurate to say there are more organized & more productive ways than others I have seen in the past.

Very informative video. Thanks
So nice of you
hi do you still use the daiwa tourny 4m landing net handle?
Hi, I'm new to feeder fishing and I would like to know why you raise the rod after casting😮 Thank you very much!
Nice video mate, very informative 👍
Thanks 👍
i have a corum carp chair as i cant sit on a box all day due to a back injury . this is a fantastic chair which will accept everything with one exception .that is side trays the first one i bought had one attachment piont, but any wieght on it and it need an extra leg and wasnt very big . i finally found one with 2 pionts of attachment but i had to make it fit by moving the holder for the legs to the widest piont and repossition one them . the reason for this is the distance from back legs to front leg was not wide enought . would be great if manufacturers would take everything in to consideration when designing there gear
Have you tried the cuzo chairs. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/133840383980?hash=item1f29822fec:g:ZP8AAOSwecNhDFTR&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA4FjppRZeDSbNyvCCs6HbEecPKem81yBl2UiKBMOWJgX0hWRgmStvigZ5gplBK8BIq9e9T1n9WdLdrTBx075iChCnl2YZqi8hEMH2T11ldOLDnmzryvyF9dUoB2jjPmAqWmHqI0qIxIfW3Q9%2FHj2KKBUsSR4w8h6VtsUvyvZ%2BOgO9w91M%2B0SvYIqUhvFwxP8Z9eruG01PVj9oGHZ%2BKKrHf31BVF%2FAP%2F2HnMqoXFey1TdIdOqG%2F%2Bt%2F4VI%2Btqqpt3kge3fGLQChAQX8vaOL4E6SGdwrk%2Ba1hIFd0cWeRhhnPJr8%7Ctkp%3ABFBMvLCLrLZi

These are really excellent videos. Well put together, warm delivery and great content. Great stuff!
Glad you like them!
Nice vid Ben, good explaining that 👍 🎣
Thanks 👍
Great video Ben, really informative. Wouldbe great to see another video covering the pro and cons between preston ICS and the guru X safe.
Ill have a look bud
Hi Ben , random question. I have acquired an old senses x30 8m pole. The top kit has a short telescopic section. How should I elasticate it? Bung in just the top 1?
You could get a pulla bung. It fits like a normal bung you just push it in further cutting it to size. The elastic will pass through the attached tube which needs to just come out of the section then you can attach the bead. Ill attach a link th-cam.com/video/LikAiqPctWU/w-d-xo.html
Excellent piece of kit Ben, i will probably invest in a set of these! now that you have a new box once again can you show us what you carry and why and where in your box drawers/cassette etc i find the interesting and im sure your changes with each different box and how easy it is to grab certain pieces of tackle/floats etc. cheers merry Christmas Ben.
Same to you bud
Another gud one,cheers
Thank you! Cheers!
Cheers Ben,nicely presented nd info invaluable to a novice like myself, keep the basic stuff comming, could you do one on the various/ massive pole float variations and use plzzzz cheers
Sure thing!
Much better than messing about in the cold weather with dodgy fingers and old eyes, Thank's Ben 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Some pre tied hooklenghs are pretty good I mainly use the the guru method hook lengths and have had hardly any issues with them also started using the drennan hook plate system quite impressed with them also but in some cases I still tie my own hooklenghs
I've been using the preston magi boxes and hook lengths for quite awhile nw, purely as Ben says as my eyesight isn't great, plus it's alot easier, the banded hooklengths are really strong, all different types even do a natural style. I have three different magi boxes 150mm 225mm and 300mm Don't use any other hooklengths, glad to see it's not just me with bad eyesight.
Excellent product Ben personally I like to tie all my hooks because I like doing all the prep for my fishing I know there's people who hate doing all the boarding stuff so they buy them already done The cases are excellent also.
Cheers Bud
Good overview Ben. Figure of 8 knot for me when making loops though. So much easier and never fails.
Thanks bud
A good vlog Ben there's loads of people hold there pole wrong I still see them it ain't no joke it kills your back if you ain't got the pole balanced correctly
thanks fella
excellent short video as always Ben, it is amazing how many people do handle the pole incorrect which leads to all sorts of back & fatigue problems as you described in the video, i was and still do use the technique you describe (30 years on - the old boss/daiwa box) tilt box slightly forward and raise the footplate the helps immensely when using the pole , especially back in the day when poles were really heavy, i never get along with them spray bars or whatever they get called, thanks for the video.
Glad you enjoyed it my pleasure
Love you daddy it’s daisy xxxx
Love you D
What would you use a inturned eye hook for Ben and would you use them Cheers.
Mcmb bud a preston hook
Great information Ben will be invaluable to new Anglers this sort of stuff 👍
Hope so!
Great video Ben. Thank you 👍
My pleasure!
Hi ben, would you usualy prepare the 2mm pellets in the same way to use in your cad pots ,as you said in your vid that's how you would want them on a feeder rig
Yes, absolutely
Very helpful. Especially on the brands for 2mm and times. P.s. your Mrs is going to have you pants down for getting pellets on your sofa stool!
Hope so! LOL
Nice one Ben. Informative again… do you always dampen/soak your feed pellets? Obviously sometimes soak hookers but also use them hard.. cheers
usually when im feeding i do
Thanks Ben, iv only just got into using pellets for a feeder and this helps massively. What I would like to see is when would the best time to use groundbait Or pellets. And what feeder would be best for each situation. I only feeder fish so help here would be great
Great suggestion! have you seen my other video on feeders
@@angling4ubacktobasics777 iv seen all but more will always be better haha
Good insight Ben, I like to add pellet oil to help the 2mm & 4mm sink a bit better, just personal preference though, many thanks
Cheers Paul
I remember when we used to have double elastic in our poles say an 8 and a16 you hooked the fish on the 8 but if you hooked something big the 16 kicked in it gave you so much confidence, sadly tackle companies didn't improve on the idea but the inventor was a genius.👍👍
Great video
Thanks!
Actually didn’t understand entirely the differences so I really appreciate this. Thanks
Cheers
What a great informative video mate thank you. Could you do one covering some shooting patterns and shot conversions? 👍
Hiya Ben! Your the the man on you tube! So when poles are related to in elastic strength is that based on solid elastic? So if my pole is rated to 16 would I be able to say use 20 hollow or more or hybrid because this is very confusing to us. A good question I feel. Cheers Ben 👍
hi most would say it bud if its a solid or hollow
Top video ben. Probably the most asked question in fishing but what elastics can’t you go wrong with? I’ve tried a few and I can’t seem to settle. I just need to pick one type and stick with it. Mainly for carp from 4-8 pound stamp, any recommendations ?
I like Map dual core, matrix slip & Middy Reactacore
What is the slik elastic Ben Cheers
yes lovely elastic
Great idea, helping to novice anglers find their feet. If I mat be so bold as to make a suggestion. How about have a jargon busting section in each episode. Let me explain. Translating angles terminology is important for any newcomer to the sport. But not all in one episode, that would be too much info for anyone to take in in one hit. So, how about a 90 second to 2 minute section at the end of each episode to teach people what they need to know. I mean you casually used "snake lakes" in this video, not everyone will know what that is. That's the kind of thing I'm thinking of. We use angling talk like breathing in and out, it the way we think. But we didn't start out with that knowledge, we had to learn it. And some times, that took a long while. Just an idea my friend. TTFN
Great feedback mate just what I'm looking for
Cheers Ben. Can you cover knots and attaching swivels, beads etc in your vlogs. Cheers Matt
Sure thing!
Nice one Ben.
Thanks!
