Highlighting the joys of animals, particularly donkeys, dogs and most recently, cats. Find "out of the box" donkey training methods such as riding a bike around the pasture to desensitize equine Mostly, I share the pure joy of animals and the benefits of how much they teach us while we train them.

Running A frame Workshop, Dog Agility
มุมมอง 4919 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
The world of dog agility is an exciting one - a partnership between handler and dog to take on obstacle challenges. Sometimes, focusing on running contacts is needed by the dog so here you have a video showing a dog starting at a low A frame, being successful making contact (on the yellow part of the frame) and the height of the frame slowly increasing. The goal is to have the dog collect thems...

Dog Agility Starter Standard - Dog Gets the Zoomies
มุมมอง 455 หลายเดือนก่อน
Stanley is out on the ring and starts off strong. Too strong - he zips by obstacles in a wild case of the zoomies. Brings himself back together to finish the course. This young dogs loves life and running and with maturity he will be excel in agility. When he approached the bridge he was rather cautious thinking it looks a lot like a teeter. Just not yet!
Dog Agility Trials - Steeplechase 1 & 2
มุมมอง 995 หลายเดือนก่อน
Stanley's first go at Steeple chase. Stanley's immaturity quickly surfaced as he got the zoomies in both runs. Good experience for both handler and dog. Received an "E" for both runs. In our case, "E" = excitement, energy, enthusiast and entertainment. (Elimination is the real meaning). Trials hosted by Top Spot Agility.
Dog Agility Jumpers 2 Entry Excitement
มุมมอง 405 หลายเดือนก่อน
Stanley is back in the ring and totally excited, even for the last run of the trials. Watch his regal sit turn into uncontrollable excitement at the tunnel entry. He is still young, immature and his love of life is sometimes just a bit much to contain himself. The crowd loves his energy. Our run time = 29.74 seconds, with 5 faults - so close! The handler realized her lack of experience in getti...
Dog Agility Fun Match 3
มุมมอง 1316 หลายเดือนก่อน
Stanley and handler are up for another Fun Match - Jumps & Tunnels. An Opportunity to improve their skills. The focus at the match was to increase the distance between dog and handler. Run #2 - error at the tunnel was the handler turned (shoulders) away from the entrance leading the dog to turn rather than go into the tunnel. The weave poles were available for those wanting to add the obstacle ...

From the start - dogs see the tunnel and A-Frame - which one will they take? How well does the handler communicate to the dog? Check it out for the progress this team makes
Agility Trials Alberta - Dogs - Starter Level
มุมมอง 446 หลายเดือนก่อน
Four classes - Starter - Standard, Gambler, Steeplechase and Jumper. Three first place spots and three Qs. In the Jumper class, Stanley ran it in 26.44 seconds over 142 yards( 130meters) which equates to 17.56 kph overall!! Dog & handler had a great time - the red ribbons were a surprise. In Gamblers, note the bright strip marking the boundary to achieve "the Gamble" which in most cases equates...
Dog Agility: Gambler Practice
มุมมอง 256 หลายเดือนก่อน
Gambler in dog agility is where there is distance between the handler and the dog. The instructor drew a line in the sand to provide a challenge for participants this week. Three runs and the dog ACES IT! Handler needs to deliver a clear desired direction in order for the dog to be successful in choosing between the tunnel and A-frame.
Dog Agility Fun Match: Jumps & Tunnels
มุมมอง 927 หลายเดือนก่อน
Fun Agility Matches are a delightful way to hone our skills and challenge ourselves. The first 2 runs are the easy course - yellow cones and the last run was the advanced course following the red cones. Stanley got the zoomies after 2 obstacles which entertained the audience immensely. He quickly recovered and impressed the audience with his comeback. The 3rd run was well done especially given ...
Dog Agility Practice Weave Poles
มุมมอง 218 หลายเดือนก่อน
We continue to improve our agility skills, this time the focus is on weave poles as the handler was giving the message to pull out of the weaves at pole 4. Notice when the dog lays down at the end of the poles and doesn't come to the handler that she turns to leave and the dog immediately comes to her. At the end, the instructor is suggesting only to reward with the ball - the highest reward fo...

Happy Donkeys are a Good Thing Thanks for Sharing the Smile
Bon appetit angels 🍉🍉🍉🍉
I know nothing about donkeys but I am impressed. Louise says, "trot" and immediately they start trotting - well, mostly. They seem to like trotting.
Thank you for posting this video. Loved watching!
Maravilloso que video más bonito
Yummy time!
Poor donkey
How sweet, treats for your donkeys!
You got them hooked !
Horrible music choice. Beautiful Burros!
It's an imovie scripted deal. The music, transitions, and everything are pre-selected. I agree with you completely that this style does not fit with the video at all..... but it's an easy way for an unskilled video-editor to get there content out so I understand that too
really, do you need to keep smacking her with that whip?
The sound of the carrot stick lash was used to keep her moving, it was not smacking her.

What a cool place to drive!
My favourite place in the world to drive.
Was this in the UK or US?? So cool you got to work with him!
It was in Canada. And yes, incredible experience to have him work with me and my team.
Dixie looks much darker here than on your older video. How big are they? Standards, about four feet to withers?
Jeff McFadden their colors tend to change slightly with the seasons as they grow thick coats in winter and have slick coats in the summer. The lighting can also make a difference. Dixie had quite a bit of reds in her coat as well. Dixie is a large standard at 12.2 hands and Lisa is 13.1.
Felt like I was there. Barry gets Dixie.
