It comes down to one thing. Body type. Most Men's clothes just hand off me and look terrible being very lean and tall. I actually wear Womens jeans and unisex tops so as to not look like a circus clown or homeless person. Mens and Womens clothing are generally tailored for specific body types and proportions which does not apply to all body types.

Also I think "fashion" is kind of dumb because a lot of "fashion" just looks goofy even most of the examples you and the other youtuber (idk what her channel is but iv seen some of her videos); Like the example you brought up I think where it's basically the same outfit but it's like 8/10 6.7/10 It just wasn't a good outfit and was not close to 8/10 or 6.7/10 not even the man wearing the outfit was 6.7/10.

As someone who works in clothing, streetwear. For women, they all wear menswear. For her, maybe it's not a style she's used to. But I see women dress like this all the time or in combination with women's clothing. In fashion androgyny from both genders has been experimented with long before wokeism. However women get more leeway to look good in menswear thou at times it may not look traditionally feminine it can still look beautiful on women. So really, women have a harder time with finding fitting but ultimately get more freedom for selecting pieces and experimentation. Menswear is more limiting, it is actually easier to look passable with the simpler silhouette but it's harder for a man to dress very well when ur playing around with more limited options. Lower barrier of entry, a higher ceiling let's say. I would argue that outside of finding a right fitting which is harder for women, but women ultimately have it easier when it comes to options, experimentation, if they don't mind a boxier fit (which is trending rn) they can just default to wearing both menswear anyways and not worry about it.... If a guy who doesn't have a conventional shape is having troubling with fitting, then he will likely have to search harder or pay up. There are more rigid preconceived notions for what men wear too rather as well. And I am someone who sells clothing to both men & women regularly. What she is touching on is a bigger conversation outside of fashion. Men are more valued for what they do, women are more valued for how they look. So generally speaking, a man can dress really well and still be seen as unattractive if he is socially awkward. Beyond the nuances in fashion, this is about a broader conversation. She is looking at things at a surface level. Because they struggle finding the right fit but are okay with a boxy look they can always default to wearing menswear. Guys who are not conventionally shape will likely have to spend some money or really search with limited options unless you want to pay a higher price. Ultimately I disagree with her. But there are struggles and pros/cons with each gender.

I like this video as a young millennial I'm 28. We were more concerned with learning about classic Men's Wear because most of us didn't have a father to show us how men dressed in that situation work attire uniforms are simple and given to you and all we had left was street wear which left looking like adult teenagers. But it is interesting to see Gen Z roughly anyone 15 to 26 right now being more expressive and adventurous with their fashion choices and having more freedom and options than men of the past. Especially in the parts where he mentioned the greater acceptance in male looks being slightly more androgenized or effeminate when it comes to male fashion the ones that are looked at to be the most fashionable and trend setting have these characteristics about them look at Johnny Depp for a modern depiction of this and the best example of our life time I would say is Prince they both embody these characteristics to a T but this is not something the men in the general populous have had the freedom to express as a whole. The last time men tried to break away from this stigma was the early 2000's and the term meteosexual started to float around which was less than flattering to men as whole. Style of dress for men has yet to break identity perceptions of society, heterosexual bio men don't want to send the wrong message to people and illicit unwanted attention or scare aware the attention of those that they truly seek. I think this is changing for Gen Z and I hope goes well for them. I didn't mean for this to be completely stuck on that but in men's fashion that plays a huge role in why men typically do not engage in fashion. We have classic Men's Wear, work attire and street wear. To quote Jenna marbles we have three looks and that's it.

I think one key thing about her saying that girls think guys dress well when they dress like those guys she showed is that literally all of those guys are super attractive.. These girls don't love these guys style, they think they're hot so the style becomes good in their head. I think this effect plays a huge part in the majority of fashion/society, there's a reason brands use attractive people to market their clothing. Your average person sees somebody they think is attractive (or cool when it comes to people like rappers influence on fashion) and they think that the clothing the person they think is attractive or cool is wearing is cool now because that person looked attractive or cool to them in it. And I think women are harder on other womens fashion because often they see them as competition, guys aren't competition to women, and like you said, guys see things like money as the defining factor in the competition against other men. Majority of men do not see other guys as competition because of what they're wearing. Just to add an example people see someone like Travis Scott or Lil Peep (Picked those two because I have personally seen people copying their exact fits before) wearing something and then they copy the entire fit and think they're on some shit now. But Travis Scott and Lil Peep don't look cool because of their clothing, sure it elevated their looks, but at the end of the day Travis Scott and Lil Peep look cool because they look cool. They could be shirtless in a pair of basketball shorts and they'd still have that seemingly magic effect of looking cool. It's not the clothes, they've got a certain "swag" that makes them look so cool in the clothes. Maybe it's mostly an attractive thing, maybe it has to do with their entire allure they built around their aesthetics + music, idk. Throw their exact fits on a random 18 year old guy and it doesn't have the same cool factor.

because the liberal society taught their women that make up and attention seeking outfit is empowering. it's not, it only empower fashion and pharma industry. and that's why modesty grace and dignity is being torn down. because if women become dignified, then the fashion industry can not sell a piece of cloth for 1000$
