She was around 18 - 19 y.o. when she was wedded to Prophet Muhammad PBUH. The way to find out is by comparing her age to Asma her older sister. Asma' was fourteen years of age during the first year of the Prophetic mission (bithah) and ten years older than A'yshah. Therefore, A'yshah was four years old during the first year of the Prophetic mission [14 -10 = 4] and as such, she was seventeen years of age during the thirteenth year of the Prophetic mission [4 + 13 = 17]. In the month of Shawwal of the second year of the Hijrah (the year of her official wedding to the Prophet) she was nineteen years of age [17 +2=19]. On the other hand, Asma' was a hundred years of age during the seventy-third year after Hijrah. A hundred minus seventy-three equals twe nty-seven (100 - 73 = 27). Therefore, in the first year after the Hijrah she was twenty-seven years old. Asma' was ten years older than A'yshah. Twenty-seven minus ten equals s eventeen (27 -10=17). Therefore, A'yshah was seventeen years of age during the first year of the Hijrah. [In addition to this], we previously established that A'yshah was officially wed the Prophet during the month of Shawwal of the second year after Hijrah, meaning that A'yshah was nineteen years of age [17+2= 19] when she was wed to the Messenger of Allah Reply

My biggest issue with this is that it contradicts scriptures, while it is true that papa Benson was definitely a great and mighty man of God and God used him to do extraordinary things but must always understand and appreciate that the latter glory is always greater than the former and that one generation will declare his greatness unto another. God Does not have a “it” or a “limit”, there are many men of God on the earth today who carry far greater anointing than that of Benson Idaosa it’s only pride and arrogance that is stopping us from seen it. We don’t want to value and honour the vessels that God has given in this generation so we are trying to by pass them to rather celebrate mantles of old. It doesn’t work like that. I dare people to truly look into the life of Bishop Oyedepo, and pastor Enoch Edeboye. We talk about Benson Edaosa raising the dead, in winners chapel regularly church members raise the dead. Let’s just embrace the gifts currently available to us. I hate when people talk about men of God like no one else will ever do greater things than them as though they were or are the ones doing the works forgetting that it is God at work through men and it’s all by grace. Greater men than Oyedepo, Pastor Enoch, and all the men of God considered anointed are still yet to rise. Let’s not put ourselves in box of worshipping individuals that God has used in the past. There are men living who are doing far greater things than papa Benson ever did. That’s the truth!!
