It’s very true, we can try so hard but without the Holy Spirit’s intimate backing we will fall apart. He loves us, but sometimes we can idolize something so he can’t do that which he wants to bestow us with.

Yes. I had a hard life full of danger. I heard about Him but He seemed to be for other people. Life became very dark. A long series of events, fantastical events, lasting years, changed me. I'm not perfect now, and I still have a long road to right, but He is there. Don't let anyone or anything make you believe otherwise. The rainbow is the symbol of His promise to you.

This is absolutely fact. We are willing and submitted to our Lord Jesus Christ then Holy Spirit will work through us.
