Lyonpo Kinzang Dorji (President BSS until 2022) and Marianne Frei (President SSB until 2020) are giving an overview of the activities and the co-operation of the two societies illustrated with some examples. The movie was screened for the first time at the commemorative event of 20 years BSS in Thimphu on October 26th, 2022 .

Marie-Noëlle Frei-Pont was staying with her husband between 1974 and 1982 for a Swiss project in Bhutan. With curiosity and a lot of empathy, she provides insights into everyday life before the great changes brought about by modernity, digitalisation and the opening up of Bhutan....

The Society Switzerland Bhutan (SSB) defined in its strategy the strengthening of entrepreneurship in Bhutan as a strategic goal. “Best practices” are to be rewarded. Nola Dorji demonstrated with his cable crane enterprise over the last three decade such a “best practice”, which SSB documented in the following short film.

    I love their life. This was happiness life, stay away from urban life. These were no tense protests and toxic cultural trends in the 1970s and 1980s.

    Very Good.. Real Life going on , without the invasive noise of techno//radio//television. Calm, quiet and simple.. It was a real privilidge to have lived there at this "old~time" Bumthang//Bhutan time. Much has, since then, been lost//forgotten <3
