Frixion Pen Test is it Fabric Safe?

So I decided to complete a ...

    Love this! Super duper life saver!! Question: does this work as well with a thicker cut binding strip? I really like the larger binding but always struggle with it, but definitely not as much as I struggle with the smaller binding strips. Yay for fat fingers and thumbs 👍🏼 😂

    I love this and doing it on my next mini- but I'm hesitant to do on a quilt because the binding gets a lot of wear and tear. I'm worry one layer verses traditional 2 fold layer is stronger. But I'm definitely trying is on minis!!! Thank you!

    • @princessinapouch
      @princessinapouch ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! I’ve heard this concern before:) I use my quilts vigorously (kids, dogs, beach, picnics…) and have not had an issue. In any case, even with double fold binding there’s still only one layer of fabric on the outside. I think the durability of your binding comes down to the durability of the fabric itself. If it’s a thin cotton lawn for example, it may wear faster whereas if it’s a heavier quilting cotton it should last a good long time:) 💞

    • @princessinapouch
      @princessinapouch 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It eliminates the need to clip into curves:) if it’s a super tight curve I might snip once with applique scissors but in general pinking shears take care of it!
