IT’S NO GOOD IN HOT WEATHER! Here in S Arizona I get non stop gimbal overload (overheating) errors flying in hot weather, not even the FPV mode works. operating temp specification is limited, 0° to 40°C (32° to 104°F) on a 104 day, surface temps of things in the sun can exceed 150F, (measured with infrared thermometer) the thing gets fried. Has the same overheat problem trying to cope with flying in windy conditions on warm days. I think I’ll just part it out because it’s basically useless, summer usually gifts us with 100 days straight of over 100F. Gimbal clearance to the shell/frame is inadequate, depending on the angle of attack, the back corners of the gimbal get caught by the frame, which contributes to the gimbal overload issue, might be the entire cause of it.. edit: to check your gimbal clearance, hold your drone in nose up high angle of attack, like it would if you full reverse from full forward in sport mode, then try to move the gimbal through it’s range of motion, you’ll probably catch on the corners of the notch behind it. A little filing on the corners and changing out the gimbal bracket suspension balls might do the trick.

I love my Mini 2 but wish I could add a monitor of some kind or a remote with a screen as its a pain to use my iPhone 12 Pro whilst its on my motorcycle being used. I tried an iPad I dont use anymore but its a bit too heavy and large. Any ideas?
Erm shame you don’t have a iPad mini or you could look at a cheaper tablet mate? Then get the adapter from Amazon?

Beautiful scenery! I was just about to order the mini 2 SE and realized there was a previous model, mini 2. However, it’s no longer available on the DJI website. I searched and found a fly more combo on Amazon! Thank you for giving the mini 2 due props!

@@Davidvrjsullivan nice, I also use it. My pc specs are fine but it's a pretty laggy experience, after trying many tweaks to the application settings. I don't know.. I heard the paid version runs a lot better.

Surely the mini 3 is better from the image quality but for that the mini 2 is cult 🚀🙋♂
Welcome back, nice video mate. Most people won’t be able to tell the difference. Although for me with the quieter propeller noise, the mini 3 pro is a nice upgrade
Yeah definitely, another video due with my lack of flying at the moment. Looking for a day with no rain when I’m off! Look forward to it though
Mini 2 is much better value for money. With footage shot in good lighting its very difficult to tell the difference in a blind test. If you make a video with 10 shots Mini 2 and 10 shots Mini 3 and get people to write down which is which, I very much doubt any of them would be 100% correct.
Yeah exactly, that’s what I was originally going to do like a guessing game but both in 4k and the pilot doing the shots you can’t tell. I didn’t colour grade any of this so it shows out the box footage

@@Medwolf it’s amazing mate. You can pitch your car next to the tent, a short walk you have toilets, shower facilities, further down you have a shop for food and beer, gift shop, and a pub with darts and pool.. then half hour from here you have a place called portmeirion

Absolutely. You can unlock the gimbal and look slightly upwards to.

really? in clear view with the controller? mine does that with the mini 3 pro but thats when trees or something is blocking the path from my controller
@@Davidvrjsullivan there are several obstacles in the way. Trees houses etc.
@@paulstannard3994 that’s why then mate, test it again in the field with no obstacles, sometimes when you lose VLOS it tends to drop. Of course it’s wise to keep VLOS, not all do but especially around metal structures it will drop signal
