    It's 1 thing to be film accurate, but this makes me wonder.... this looks flimsy like in the film they did it for quck fast.. and looks ok.. but for practical use could you not make it more sturdy and use leather straps instead of elastics and so forth? just food for thought. I know nothing about storm trooper armor etc as a disclaimer, but this is just a thought that came to mind as i saw this.

    • @ArmorBuildingwithTK1636
      @ArmorBuildingwithTK1636 ปีที่แล้ว

      The leather straps would eventually tear the plastic. The elastic lets it be able to flex, if it doesn't flex then where you bolt down the metal brackets would tear up the return edge.

      @@ArmorBuildingwithTK1636 humm true... it looks very toyish tho.. would be awesome if some 1 made a Trooper armor that would look like something that would be belivable as a none toy. i wonder if that's even possible. cause when you look at the armor you can tell it's just thin plastic and would not stop much.

I had my own but I wished I would have gotten theirs, then it would have been dyno with all that on. I also got a Stewart stage 2 water pump and thermastate. My old water pump didn't keep it cool enough, I also got a 4 row champion radiator. The head gasket started leaking and they fixed it no questions ask, great company!

      I'm used to it, but if you have it to hot to touch for to long then you heated up the plastic to much. There is a fine line of how much heat you need to put on the plastic before it warps and where you can bend it safely. I get it to the point where it is hot but not burning me and I can then bend the armor to shape it.

      I have built numerous kits for people around the states. It is very hard to perfectly build it to your body type without you being there. Unless you are 5'10 and 160 with a 32 inch waist, it can be challenging for me and it might not fit you just right. I try and have whoever it is come down for at least one day so I can fit it to your body. If that makes any sense, I have had people from Chicago the farthest and people from California come down for me to build it for them. The vast majority have been from Arizona. I have built without them here two from California and one from Florida but it can get expensive to ship as the box is big, 74 ups to California, 120 USPS to California.
