It's not 100% like the cover I know but I added my own touch. This is the second time I really touch the drums in like 3 months and Iv'e only been playing for like a year. Thank you for this video, I am starting my d16 mini engine wiring and it scares me, your video helps ! Watch you from france I still don't understand how the ECU gets power and if the ECU needs more information than just wires from the engine because the stock harness has tons of wires connected to the ECU that don't come from the engine. Do you think I can keep the stock Honda harness and just keep what I need ? Thanks !

    • @aguilas583
      @aguilas583 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching! It is a bit daunting especially at the beginning. Typically the ecu gets power from the fusebox I believe in the stock Honda setup. The fusebox or relay box gets the 12V from the starter which is connected to the battery. Overall that is the general flow. You can use the stock Honda harness as it was meant to run the engine, but the outputs is what is tough since you will have to verify what each wire does by looking at wiring diagrams for the Honda. From there, you can determine what you have to keep, and what you can discard. For that reason, I recommend custom wiring kits like from Rywire or minitec since they really simplify the setups and allows for easier integration. Not impossible to use the stock harness, but a lot more research is needed. Just be prepared either way and best of luck on your build!

    How did you figure out what lights you needed to achieve the look you were going for? I'm looking to add lighting to our tribute band.

    • @aguilas583
      @aguilas583 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We started by looking at other production companies, and saw that color wash lights are the base of everything. Since most places we go to doesn’t allow haze, all of the slim pars make sense for us since it adds the most impact which without haze is the most effective light show. From there, it was just some derby lights, the moving heads, and a few smaller components which we use for weddings primarily, but they worked well with our rig.

    • @aguilas583
      @aguilas583 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The haze works really well. If there is fire detection systems (beam detectors vs heat detectors), you can very easily set off the fire alarm. We rented a Radiance Ultratec hazer for a recent gig, and we set off the fire alarm due to the beam detectors coming back on. The school was at fault here since we coordinated this before hand, and we were approved to use haze in our contract. The biggest thing is to ensure the client allows it, and knows that they are liable to ensure that the haze wont interfere with any fire detection systems so you aren't on the hook for an evacuation.

      Jose Hernandez I would consider the slim par 38’s. As many as you can afford to start. They are light, bright, and very effective when paired with even a simple DMX controller. For gigs you don’t use a truss, you can sell them as uplighting packages as well.

      Jose Hernandez you need a DMX controller to make good effects if you put them on a truss. If you don’t, you get to pick a solid color and that’s pretty much it. That’s why they work well for uplighting.
