I commend and admire the dedication brought forth by Burke and Susan Ross for choosing to fully restore and breathe life back into this one of a kind jewelry box estate we all call La Salona. I am very grateful for the opportunity to be apart of this 11 year restoration by Seaspray Group.. My Team and I returned season after season pouring our passion and craftsmanship in to the revival of this architectural masterpiece .

A new owner could gut it to the inner walls and give it a more 21st Century decor design. Not totally postmodern but more contemporary. The furnishings look like they date back to the 1920's. But physically the buildings are probably structurally sound. It would be criminal to put up another building of white square boxes with floor to ceiling glass. There is no originality or style in those "cubed" monstrosities. That design says "I'm going to flip this for all I can get. It is pure vanilla, cookie cutter, priced to move. The buyer doesn't have to think hard about it, just write the check for the asking price." Yuck.

My brother in law bought this house in 1986 and I lived there for 30 months. I don't think I missed a day swimming in the pool

Speaking for myself only the decorator really sold them a bill of goods, but the stark color changes on the bottom floor just destroy the place.

That decorator needed to be fired on the spot!
