My son started having seizures at 3.5 years old. He is now 40. He’s been on modified Atkins diet since 2013. Hasn’t really changed anything. His seizures were getting worse so we went to a functional medicine doctor and tried a few things. Got allergy testing and took him off more and more foods. Still didn’t change anything. I have tried carnivore only for a few days, still having seizures. Trying again. We’ll see. We actually did a medical ketogenic diet when he was 6. We were able to reduce medication, but it didn’t really change the seizures. I’ve done so much research and tried so many things. I wish this would work. He has grand mal and tonic seizures in his sleep. For a while he was having up to 3-4 seizures every night. We finally put him on another drug a year ago which I delayed for years because it’s a benzodiazepine. It has helped lower the amount of seizures.

Breed and feed matter. Most cattle are 50/50 A1/A2. Guernsey cattle are 98% A2. Jersey high butter fat, Dexter do very well on a grassfed diet same as highland cattle. In the spring time in temperate zones the grasses are the sweetest and have the most beta carotene, for 100% grassfed cattle the milk during this time is the most yellow in color. Absolutely no scientific evidence has been done on the effects of dairy on lactase persistent people.

I’ve had 7 grandmal seizures in my life starting when I was 17. They started happening once a year then twice a year so I was prescribed medication. One med gave me excruciating headaches and hives all over my body the second one I tried made me feel like a zombie, no drive, no energy and very depressed. I ended up doing research and discovered the keto diet 4 years ago after my last seizure. I stopped all medication 4 years ago and I have had zero seizures since started but I was doing dirty keto and found that I was consuming way too many processed foods. I was also having a lot of bloating. So I decided to give a high fat carnivore diet a try 3 weeks ago. Even though I was fat adapted I still experienced extreme fatigue, I think I wasn’t having enough fats. I’ve slowly tweaked the diet and am now adding lots of butter and heavy whipping cream. Energy levels are going up and I’m feeling great! This diet works!!! Although I wasn’t having seizures very frequently this diet has given me the peace of mind that I can safely drive, carry my babies, or have a bath without worrying that I’m going to have a seizure. So grateful for this diet❤

What have you tried to change that? No one can expect a diet to fix them right away. You may have to experiment on what works for you. Did you consult your Dr first? Also jumping right into this diet can make some folks sick. For some the key is to really ease your way into the diet. That way your body doesn't freak out. Hope this helps 😊

I’m carnivore and do a decent amount of cycling. My longer rides are around 5 hours in length and I do them with no food at all. For the first hour I feel good and have a good amount of strength. The last hour involves a lot of pain and less ability to recover. I expect that after 4 hours I’d be in the same boat no matter what I eat. I’m quite surprised that my ketone levels remain show quite low all the time, even the day after a long ride like the one described. Any my glucose is always around 100. Perhaps I should take a measurement in the middle of such a ride. One theory is that the ketone levels are low because my body is using them for fuel. I’d like to start doing some longer and more challenging rides but think that for that I may need to start introducing food and some small level of carbs. There are low carb endurance athletes who explain this approach for their training and events.

I don’t think I can do this. I have been carnivore for over 2 years with a few bobbles but the reason I have bobbles is my liver. I start eating higher fat and I have such pain in my liver. It’s terrible and I’ve done 16 gallbladder cleanses and I’ve had several sonograms done and they say that my gallbladder is full and then I do a cleanse and I get relief until I eat anything that’s got heavier fat like steak and then it’s like I crash again and I have had thousands and thousands of stones come out, and I just don’t know what to do. I just continue to have gallbladder and liver pain and my liver enzymes are elevated somewhat but not horribly bad not enough for my doctor to be concerned so I don’t know what to do. I’ve lost a lot of weight and healed and turned around a lot of things, but I’m just miserable, any advice from anyone out there would be wonderful

I’m also taking a full spectrum liver supplement to help build up and detoxify my liver with milk, thistle and turmeric and a bunch of other stuff in there, and I have not had any pain since this last cleanse so I’m hoping I’m beyond that and it appears my bio flow is going well with steak
