SOLIDARITY The Dockers of Dublin
A new exhibition curated by The Little Museum of Dublin, presented in the newly refurbished Substation building on Alexandra Road.
The exhibition charts the story of one of Ireland’s most fascinating industrial subcultures: the dockers. Their story is one of hardship but also one of humour and resilience.

HindeSight, Dublin in Postcards
มุมมอง 100ปีที่แล้ว
The Little Museum of Dublin presents a new exhibition, curated by the public. In the second half of the 20th century, an English photographer called John Hinde revolutionised the way that Ireland was perceived at home and abroad. Hinde’s heavily saturated images made the country seem impossibly glamorous. Many of his photographs were instant classics. Together they constitute an iconic represen...

Bridget Hourican. ∆ I'm still laughing... Are you guys the only people who talk about Mangan? It surely seems that way.
Wow thank you so much for sharing this, brought tears to my eyes. Thanks again . Kind regards James .
What an amazing woman!
A marvelous interview
Благодарю!
The new children's hospital or the new national maternity should be named after him and Phillis.
There is a hidden part here, not mentioned but hinted, subtle and profound all at once, even defense, ineffable,
Who wrote the poem?
Wonderful poems. Rendering a deep and living love for Dublin, and all the material with which it is made.
Its Dermot Morgan!
Thanks for sharing that most fascinating and informative lecture on our greatest soprano.
This is so lovely! My father is David Kenna and my Grandfather Raymond Kenna. So lovely learning more about their history.
What a wonderful event. Thank you for sharing. I am now inspired to buy Anne's book
Great conversation about Mangan and Wine.
I have Charles Lysaght's book and have heard him speak before about Bracken. However, there is a definite third rail in the story of Bracken's relationship with Churchill that Lysaght will not approach. That is: Bracken's role as "Churchill's liaison with the Zionists" (see Chaim Weizmann's Letters and Papers Series B, Vol II), and details of Bracken's part in arranging for Churchill's overwhelming debts to be met by Jewish financiers, both before, and during the War. Also, on p.188 of "Brendan Bracken" Mr. Lysaght misinforms his readers when he states that Sir Henry Strakosch left £10,000 to Churchill following his death in 1943, when in fact, the sum involved was £20,000. What is not being told here is significantly more interesting than what is.
God bless Noel Browne
Crikey this is stunning!
Byrne is a great actor and Writer he clawed his sway up from nothing in Dublin and along with Liam Neeson and to some extent Patrick Bergen made a good career in America.
Thank you Anne for this wonderful opportunity to listen to you. Margaret Burke Sheridan a talented and beautiful Woman.
Is it possible to get more information about the graphic shown on the thumbnail? The drawing on the left~ in the slideshow too, in connection with Mad Sweeny. I'm so curious about the significance of this drawing and it's relation to mad sweeny. Great great great video!
Michael died on May 3 2023. I was in the Labour Party in Dublin Bay North with him. Until the end of his life, Michael came to meetings and always gave his very analytic and wise view of politics. Rest in Peace Michael, you are much missed.
Oh Geppetto c'è cucù
Would make a great movie, or a mini series.
When I hear a voice like mine I know I can relate better I've travelled so I know both sides. All I say is when in Rome bla bla bla
I have listen to Gabriel reading his book two times and I love to hear his voice and come so close to him and his memories...thank you for this love from Sweden❤
What's he waffling on about!!
Who sought asylum in Ireland in 1847?
Thank you so much for sharing this 🫶
IRELAND SHOULD CREATE PUBLICITY ABOUT THE SUPERB SOPRANO MARGARET SHERIDAN AS THE METROPOLITAN DOES ABOUT THEIR SOPRANOS WHO ARE NOT COMPARABLE.
That's the way to do it in a Hillman imp great lady
Many thanks for such a detailed account of my father. Looking forward to listening to your other talks and maybe returning to education and history at trinity!!!! Thank you Sue Browne
You must be Immensely proud of your parents.
A real doctor that was not governed by brass plate or crozier but by his own conscience
😍😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️
They're not refugees, they are welfare scammers.
I so love History ❤️
New Irish moving in
Irish are celts
Eileens great....Happy retirement
I so love Irish History.
Wonderful presentation, full of excellent information and insight. I had no idea that the Witch Panic had not taken hold in Ireland in the same way it did elsewhere. Also, I want to congratulate Gillian on not projecting modern obsessions and interpretations on pre-modern people. I've seen several presentations on related topics derailed and ruined by projecting the feminist gender obsession on everything.
That’s fascinating stuff, I love it.
This is so fun conversation. Everybody so relax... and Gabriel is brilliant storyteller, so expressive, fun, and energic. Feel like can heard voice for whole day.
What a concept, and very well explained. I sent this video, and your TicTok one to a number of people in my family, with the title . . . “It’s not our fault”, referring to our family tendency towards obesity, depression and diabetes. Thank you very much for studying in this field and sharing your results 💚
Why doesn't the Irish government impose a rule the all churches and belief systems be treated equally? Enda Kenny touch on it but it might at least be a start towards some circular process.
