Interesting take, i havent yet considered the difficulty cleaning a bombilla, is it just that specific bombilla that allows you to remove the spring? Or is that typical of spring bombillas?
@@swagmuffin1612 this is typical of the spring bombilla. Some of the “spoon” style bombillas you can’t remove the filter itself and once you boil the bombillas in baking soda and see all the gunk that comes out you’ll understand 🤮😆

@@kuyamert sorry to hear that. Instead of adding sugar try these options first: 1) add coconut flakes to the yerba mixed in 2) add honey 3) use a less bitter yerba such as Playadito or Porongo 4) drink it like Tereré meaning with ice cold lemonade or juice. Let me know which one you try and how it goes for you. Happy to help!

La Merced de Campo is my fav. However, I live in Spain and it isn’t always easy to find. Same problem when I lived in the UK. They stopped having it in stock. Whatever brand I try, I always come back to La Merced❤
Pampa Direct should be able to get it to you. If you check out my Instagram page there’s a link and can get you a small discount if you’re interested. When I lived in Spain there was a store in Vigo, Galicia I went to. I believe there’s a big store in Madrid too. Hope that helps!

I believe I got it off of Amazon. This Yerba is an organic one that is highly recommended in the Yerba mate community. I have some other favorites and suggestions
Omg my Yerba really taste changed after I was using hot water at 60 degrees the taste was fishy I thought it was ruined the taste now changed a little bit but it still weird from what I bought it the first time I I have it now for almost a year is that concern ? How long should 1kg of mage last ?😢
I’m not aware of any “expiration dates” but it obviously won’t be as fresh. Some people even put their Yerba in a tin or container to store it

Great topic to cover, Devin!! And 36 HOURS of running?!?!? INSANE!! As a road cyclist, I usually drink half a thermos of mate about an hour before rolling out to do a 40-50 miler, *BUT* you HAVE TO compensate for the dehydration by replenishing with plenty of water before and during the ride or run.
Thanks Seba! I'd love to get some more of your opinon as an athlete and if yerba mate affects your performance on the road!
