1st episode in this new series: Urban Wild Foraging with Garliq. An awesome video, but also humble promo for the Herbal Integration Course - starting April 18 in the Kootenays. Has it become obvious that pharmaceuticals are not sustainable and can not provide the change the world needs right now? (Do you believe wild food and herbal medicines are part of the solution because they connect you to...

I got stung in my right calf while disc golfing the other day. Now I'm all finding videos like this and wanting to find grow and consume all the nettle lol.
Fine instruction - thank you Sir!
Nice video! I have hemp nettle weed in my backyard. Can I expect same property? Thanks!
Great vud ty
Most informative video on nettles that i have see. Thank you.
Wow so interesting. Thanks for this video
I cook them like spinach and also do that and freeze them to eat during the winter. So good at anytime of year
Just discovered a patch and tried them first time. Delicious and nourishing like a more nutty protein rich spinach. I can attest the last part of the video is very true and ironic in the midst of this pandemic. I know where to go for my groceries now. :)
Man stinging nettle hurts like hell. Good vid
I just got started eating wild foods. I found your site, so I'm new to all this. First do you respond to the comments or would you prefer an email address. Second: identifying the plant is my biggest concern. For example: can you lightly burn off the hairs on the stinging nettle and eat it raw? I'm now making nettle tea but how often should I drink it?
I've never seen the yellow violets, we have purple-white. I'm in Pennsylvania now. I'll keep an eye out.
Good stuff, TH-cam needs more content like this, thank you!
I love violets - I’d like to get some yellow ones - I mostly have the purple kind
during these unprecedented times, stinging nettle has been apart of our daily smoothies. Anything that boosts immunity and provides comfort is welcome during these stressful times. If more people took care of their immune system, covid19 would not be wreaking havoc in our communities. China, whom we all know uses Traditional Chinese Medicines is almost done with the virus. The entire population took the TCM to combat covid-19. I bought the specific blend they were using and at one time the entire country ran out of this herb blend in twelve hours.
What is tcm
Good day , i was wanting to know if there are plants on BC coast that i cud mistake n nettle for that May poison me ? 🤢 Also how long do they need to be cooked to get the sting out of them, so i can eat them ? Thank you so much for sharing your video and hope u n ur loved ones stay health Mel 😁🙌🏼🙏🏻👍🏽

Thank you, very informative.
Thank you for sharing this video. Very informative! If the seeds grow, I will try to plant.
Can nettletea be smoked
Do it and record it. It will probably go viral.
Lmao yeah dude it'll get you super high
Are you a Christian
I take dandelions in the spring and I dry them out in the oven and use them for tea
Thank you love the video
I never realized how much Fennel looks like Dill.
Rolling pin over the nettles, crush them and their stinging hairs will break harmlessly. You can then eat them raw. Be diligent with the crushing, though.
Today was my first day harvestingcooking and adding to. Smoothies . My back yard in Australia grows nettles. I have been scared of them, until recently. Thank you for your helpful video.
Great vids matey !! 👍🏻(Scotland)
Great vid sir. Is July too late too harvest nettles?
Very nice!!
Ive never seen Fennel here in NJ I'm gonna have to look for it.
Is common thistle the same as milk thistle?
I’m in Australia and it is winter now, I have plenty growing near by. Are they ok to harvest in winter? Cheers Peter
Oh I just had a Dandelion salad for lunch😊💞😊
Love you information thankyou
What a great informative video! Thanks!
I REALLY like your videos. My favorite is when you mention which parts of the plant are edible. It is very helpful to me to know if I can eat the roots and whatnot, or what time of year/maturity to avoid a plant.
Thank you :) I have bought seeds and hopefully they will grow. Any advise??
How did your seeds grow
@@markirish7599 I actually cheated...a local Gardening Center with Orchards and Barn Animals for kids to visit...they had Nettle growing wild in their pastures and allowed me to uproot them. In doing so...I relocated them into our home garden and now we have super huge patch growing. I've dried some for tea to drink and also saved some dried to make Compost Tea next Growing Season.
Thanks! These are the kind of videos I've been looking for!
Thank you.
Thank you, very much.
Enjoyed this video, wow beautiful and green there in Vancouver. I'm in the desert, we have a lot of wild plant medicine too.
Thank you :)
