Story of the Worlds First Albino Christmas Mountain!
Mine doesn't really hiss or try to bite, but he tries to escape while I'm holding him, like I gotta pass him hand over hand, ya know? He stops after a few minutes and I figure he's just more scared than some other pits. We will get there. Also, I figure I prob just need to get another... maybe have the breeder pick based on temperament for me. I have a habit of buying spicy animals lmao
I fully empathize with Spencer. They are very intimidating snakes and really put on a show. We need to get our first bites in, I think. 🤣
Yall have to come to michigan when legasea opens!
@@ScaRlaK319 Just looked that up. Looks really cool! That would be sweet to visit!

Is the ghost at the 627 mark for sale?
No, that one's staying with me. I will have more later this summer.
@ is that a ghost bull?
Yes, miami/stillwater
Great video and advice. I have a decent collection, and I only have a few who are not tamed. These snakes have personalities and are the best species, IMO!
Summer: Do you want this? Spencer: No!😂
@@robertcannon5416 😂
Just pick them up don’t be scared
I’m freakishly large, and I still scream like a school girl every time I get bit….you’re doing great, brother!
This is awesome! The dynamic is opposite! I love it!!!!❤❤
I think Spencer did an amazing job😊
Great video! Lots of good info. What temperature do you keep the brumation room at?
@@randybean7041 Thanks! I keep it at 55 Fahrenheit. Here’s a more in depth video, th-cam.com/video/u9RifUBu6Fc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=qsGhDeoc0YD_1eGA
Thanks, Summer. Hopefully we can buy the offsprings soon!
How are you doing I had to Stillwater bull snakes that I plan on breeding do what would be the age to breed them or the wait however it is done I did not put them down and I’m hoping doesn’t ruin my situation so if you could just let me know and then I’m curious what is the difference between the Stillwater and the Hannah project at your work at on I noticed that a little more square on the pattern but I’m not sure if that’s it all right thank you good video to if you can let me know what the difference between still water and hannah….what do you think the odds are breeding one male and one female to mate….thanks
Hi! I would say they need to be at least 3 years old. 4 years old might be better. They could still breed even if you didn't brumate them. In terms of stillwater and hannum being different- they are different lines of hypo as of now. Tests are still being done to try and figure out if hannum is related to the other two existing hypo lines or not but for now we treat it as its own line. And using one male with one female you should get an excellent clutch in terms of all of his energy is going into one female. If they are first timers though you may not get 100% fertility but odds are pretty good you will!
@ thanks for answering my questions I am waiting one more year they are fairly big but they are three years old and my other snakes I wait two they are four years…….you are the only one that has ever answered my questions……Thank you
@@eugenereardon4557of course! Happy to help out!
Your facility looks awesome.

Who produced your raspberry trumbower ? Been trying to find them for awhile now
@@mnvjim7900 I produced this one.
@@SummersSnakes that’s awesome to see these still around. Will you be producing these this year? Do you remember the name of the person that made this raspberry line?
@@mnvjim7900it was before my time in pits so I am not sure. I’ve been doing some research back into it so I’m hoping to find some more answers soon!
Lots of great info in this one. I would think cycling gives better odds of success.
This is interesting. Thanks for sharing. Stunning snakes! We're looking forward to seeing the babies. Can't wait to breed ours.
Thanks for watching! We can't wait to for babies too!
Good info and def seems cycling them helps improve your odds of success and heard it also helps with those that double clutch as well.
How do you ship? I live in a rural area in California, UPS is a joke, fedex is ok but gets here late morning and only goes to the gate and I’ve never tried anything live from them in this new place, usps gets me hatchery chicks in 2 days that I pick up from the post office… I have a wild caught pacific gopher I kinda wanna get a morphy mate for, I like some of your snakes on morphmarket.
@@TheFrogfeeder I can ship overnight to a FedEx hub and they will hold it there for you to pick up. Feel free to send me an email if you have more questions. It is also possible to ship to your house. Summerssnakes@gmail.com
@ so what is something kinda cool you’d recommend I could put with a straight wild type pacific gopher that might make some interesting babies? I’m not opposed to getting a bull snake either I know there’s a lot more selection… I’m like 80% sure I have a male as the tail looks long, it’s a baby from 2024 for sure, it was stuck 50ft down in my water well in freezing cold water since November, finally able to get it out on new year morning after lots of rain brought the water up, now it lives in a nice zilla cage in my living room… it eats frozen thawed fuzzies with no hesitation, just finished shedding, it’s roughly 18- 20 inches long, Sharpie-thick, and it’s already hand tame. I don’t wanna be a snake breeder or seller, I just want to stock more snakes on my homestead over at the barn and shop and hay barn to deal with all the rodents over there…
🔥🔥🔥 one of each, please!
Both are awesome!🎉
Some outstanding examples right there.
There really nice pine snakes that you have there. You have a very nice collection of snakes. Hopefully we can do business sometime. I really hoping to get a few from you.
Hey summer is there a difference between a southern and a Florida pine? I understand Florida is from Florida but I’ve heard some people say a florida is a southern and mix the two sometimes
@@mnvjim7900 They are the same thing.
Great video as usual. I’m liking that patternless Florida pine. You should make a video on what is the friendliest/ most handleable pituophis. Including the black pine!
@@JonnyBoyGolden Great idea! I’m sure we can do something like that.
How much are albino Florida pines? Producing anything year? Or hets?
Probably won't have any available for another year or two.
@ ok I’ll keep an eye out
Great video! Your Pines are just awesome!
Take mah money! Again, your snakes are AMAZING 🔥🔥🤯
Thank you! Happy other people are enjoying them as much as me!
I like it!!!❤❤❤
Beautiful pines. Comparing the Northern and Southern Pines was really neat. They just looked so different.
Yeah the color variation is so cool!
Absolutely beautiful. I usually much prefer stillwater "hypos", but wow he blows 99% of them out of the water.
clints reptiles just did a video on the best pet snake bull snake. i put your name in the comments :)
I saw that video! Appreciate it!
Stillwater patternless will be amazing. Good luck on your season guys, 70 females going is wild.
Thanks! Yeah the Stillwater Patternless is gonna be a great one!
Should be some good projects for sure!
Keep the information coming I need like 5 of your snakes just no room lol 😂😂😂
And I heard that red or tiger patternless hint maybe lol
Sounds like you guys are going to busy. Here's wishing you a prolific season
@@pituophisart6916 thanks! And you too!
Have you ever seen Miami Trumbower or Ballum Stillwater ghosts? I'm so curious how the Miami Stillwater/Trumbower Ballum came about being the norm!
@@trabash505 I have seen one of them before but can’t remember which one it was. It looked like a ghost but haha idk. I’m not really sure how that really came to be the norm though!
I think those light grey ghosts could be both hypos accidentally passed on personally by my results and a friends
@@garrettp4582 the Stillwater’s in my room that produced these do not have trumbower in them. Perhaps in the stuff you are working with though.
@@SummersSnakes gotcha… I can’t wait for genetic testing hahaha
@@SummersSnakes just wondering though if it’s a high yellow line the silver where the black was should have no effect right only the whites because the whites are the yellows… is there a way to test for trumbower besides breeding? No shed tests yet? I seriously think there is something up or just a lot variation because me and my friend had very weird results from ghost to ghost pairing only some came out silver the others are just normal ghosts and a normal popped out.
Awesome! One day I hope to be as busy as yall. My small 7 females I got this year
@@Jamesgangreptiles thanks! It’s a lot of work but it sure is fun! You’ll get there!
Thanks for this great video. You have some of the most awesome snakes l have ever seen, especially my favorite the high contrast Northern Pines..So glad to see young people like yourselves so enthusiastic about your business and future projects..
Best of luck for the upcoming season
@@pituophisart6916 Thanks Al!
When you said, referring to why you like Pituophis, [SIC] "I don't know, I just have an understanding about them." or something like that. A non-reptile, non-snake loving person will think you are crazy, but a real snake keeper will know what you mean. I know through all the snakes I have had, there are one or two species that just click for me the most.
@@6strings735 This is exactly how I would describe it for me as well.
I vote for a building tour! Although, it would be cooler to do the tour once everyone is out of brumation.
@steelayrshire2722 It may or may not have been my idea 🤣🤣 but I second this! After brumation!
@trabash505 I mean great minds do think alike 🤣😅
Ohhhh! Been waiting for this video!! Commenting 30 seconds in! 😂😂
@@trabash505 Thanks for submitting some questions! And thanks for watching!

@@BradinBerksCo-g8n Appreciate it, thanks!
Is allowing temps as low at 45 degrees during brumation safe for them ?
@@laurentippin2408 I think I’ve heard of some breeders going down that low but I never have. Lowest I would go is 50. I think temps could drop that low yes, but I’m not sure I’d recommend them being that low for a long period of time. That’s just my experience and opinion though.
@ thank you !
Great video! I was convinced there was water running in the background for what was bullsnakes hissing instead:) You touched on it briefly in the video: have you found intermittent warm days during winter cooling periods to be a problem for reproduction? Being in the southeast, we have mild winters, with occasional (room) temperatures @ ~65-degrees (+/-), before dropping again.
haha they were SO loud! For me here in Utah, obviously a non-issue for that. I couldn't really speak much to it since I haven't experienced it but I know some breeders in warmer climates like you don't always brumate anyway. Or when they do its for a shorter amount of time so its more sustainable. So perhaps in your case maybe don't start your "brumation" till January sometime? Then go for like a few weeks when its the coldest. I do think though that the slight fluctuation up to 65ish won't really affect them. As long as they are still in the dark i bet they would be fine. If they start really cruising around and getting active then maybe it got too warm but really I bet they would be fine and reproduce no problem!
@@SummersSnakes Sincerely appreciate the detailed reply. Keep up with the uploads, they're phenomenal quality and very informative. Have a great New Year!
I'm in the southeast too(eastern central AL) and l have never found it being a problem with warmer days...I brumate from Dec. through to end of February..I just keep the room heat off and keep the blinds close, never been a problem..I use to breed all kinds of snakes, including Pines, and everything seemed to work out..
@@scottnixon2899 Thanks for the input. I am mostly concerned about the Mexican Pines this year. Bulls I've produced without cooling, but I am cooling them anyway as it extends their lives (in theory). What pine species did you work with?
@XwolfbaneXx the only ones l had were the high white Northern pines, which were pretty simple when it came to cooling .. That was over 20 plus years ago, and l don't even know if Mexicans were even available then, but they look awesome..Being from that area, l really don't know if they would need cooling, but I'm just guessing..What surprised me was when l would open the windows in 40 degree weather to trigger my black and gold Aussie Nothern pythons to breed. The hatchlings were ugly demons, but would grow out it in time (thankfully) ..
Sent email per males.... Beautiful as usual.
