This and that
First time using the new snow plow on the Mahindra 2638
Getting used to the new plow.
It has right and left swivel done with twin hydraulic cylinders.
And best of all a heated cab. That has nothing to do with the blade but it’s toasty warm in there. I Was overdressed.
Takes a little bit of a learning curve but by the end of the next snowstorm I’ll have it down like a pro. And definitely by the end of winter.
Enjoy. Show the guys who installed it. Or the 3rd function i guess.

Winter bird bath.Temporary!
มุมมอง 234 ปีที่แล้ว
Theres no sound per se. its just the sound of white background noise and you can barely hear the birds at the water bowl. This is just temporary for this winter but hopefully Christmas brings a heated bird bath. This was basically a test to see how many birds use a bird bath and its nuts how many use it and even on cold days they at least drink from it. Like today with the sun out they will bat...

Normal Contrail
มุมมอง 134 ปีที่แล้ว
Not many flights in the sky as of late. But i was looking outside and saw this solitary plane flying high with a normal contrail. Even the weather is coming from the old normal usual path from the west to the east. And not from the south from a spot in the Texas Louisiana area where the weather starts. Completely fabricated clouds that get pushed north somehow. It seems as though those who do t...
Where are the Squirrels???
มุมมอง 384 ปีที่แล้ว
This is really strange. I have been noticing the past few weeks less and less squirrels coming to eat in the morning. Today I decided to document this phenomenal event that seems coincidental to the world wide virus scare. Do you have any theories what is happening? Yes it mating season for squirrels and some should be giving birth but not all at the same time? Curiouser and curiouser! Quebec C...
Injured squirrel (turn up your volume)
มุมมอง 1145 ปีที่แล้ว
This little squirrel showed up the other day with its head all mangled up. It is a squirrel that knows me and seems to be a regular. I don’t have the money to take the poor thing in to see a vet. It has lost its ears. Left eye is very badly damaged. There is infection in the eye and is surely lost. The right eye has been hurt but she can still see with it. Head is all tore up. Broken toe on rig...
Wild turkey comes up on deck

The turkey was hanging around I was making turkey calls and she decided to come up on the deck and was trying to figure out how this hooman was making turkey noises. Lol.
Squirrel called Lefty.
มุมมอง 85 ปีที่แล้ว
Poor Lefty. He came around last fall. He was probably born sometime in the summer. Not sure how long mothers keep their young but any way. Don’t know how Lefty paw got messed up. He came that way the first time we seen him around with the others and already had a messed up paw. He hasn’t really grown much over the winter. Just staying alive is what takes all his energy he gets from food. I am p...
Rockzilla RC rock crawler vs Gingerbread houses.

Made some gingerbread houses with the niece and nephew before xmas and now are basically uneatable. Harder than rock almost. So I decided on crushing them with Rockzilla.

Dyson the Chipmunk. My new close friend.
I just today noticed my city has very few if any squirrels, what's happening??
How did you get the windows so clear
Who makes that cab
Bercomac! It is the larger one. I would Not recommend the smaller one unless you have a smaller tractor like for example the old green Craftsman Lt 1000, then the large one would be too big. I wish I had purchased it much earlier than I did. What a difference. Don’t need to dress as warmly with it on. Only thing that I can’t handle is the noise. The tractors motor is very noisy when the cab is mounted. So I wear sound deadening earmuffs or plugs. You’ll find out if you get one. Thats the only negative. The materials are quite good quality. I was really surprised when I received it. Even the wife who doesn’t onow much about this kinda stuff and it impressed her considerably. And we both agree it was well worth the price back then when we got it. Don’t know what prices are now but you won’t be sorry. It looks a bit goofy but once inside you don’t see it and only feel and see the difference with it and don’t cate what others may think. It actually takes time off when cleaning snow. You can go much faster and not have to worry about snow blowing on you and thusly you don’t stop momentarily to aboid the flying snow. Any way I’m rambling and Bercomac should send me something for this reply. I suffer from verbal diarrhea. LOL
So what size is better for the Husqvarna model TS 142K?
What is the price for 54 inch
I had one of my favorites show up with a pussy eye that closed permanently in time. He was very jumpy at any sound. After a week or so the squirrel never returned to me. I fear the worst. It is a hard world out there for all wild animals. Thanks you much for feeding them :)
I also feed the squirrels out my back patio door and I feed the blue jays, Cardinals and a occasionally other birds get in on the feeding. I remember a few days in spring were I did not have many around. I hoped they didn't get the virus and became sick. I only get 4-5 squirrels a day and all day long. When ever I go outdoors they come a running. I so enjoyed this because it is something I love to do also :)
Hi there, bless you for taking care of her. Did she end up making it?
Holding your camera/phone out the window is not only stupid, it's against regs. If you drop it, you could kill someone. A responsible pilot would have told you that. Got to be Laurentide trained. lol
Richard Weiss You’re a few years late there bud! With a statement like the last one you made i’m guessing you’re St Hubert trained??? Just enjoy the vid and shape up.
WTF do Liberals have to do with squirrels mating?!? At least I don't go around bragging about grabbing women by the pussies or forcing women to kiss me (Or screw me) like some narcissistic sociopath. Cause that's mighty PC and moral, isn't it? How Ironic.
Oh poor little squirrel is here too...I would keep her feeding too.
I have to say that I'm very impressed! Thank you for this!
That's a cool sparrow that Cooper's hawk has caught. I wonder if that hawk had leftovers! Mmmm, I can taste it now!
Awesome video man, that's a perfect catch for that hawk!
What type of shrubs/ bushes you have lining your yard??
Carlo Brigante Ceder hedge. Lots of empty space behind the green for nesting and a highway for squirrels. And great hiding spot for when the hawks come. You just gotta make it back to the hedges for cover before you’re supper.
You never zoomed that video in, but that's okay. I think I can see what type of hawk that actually is. Its got a long tail so its definitely not a Red Tailed hawk. That's either a Sharp-Shinned hawk or a Cooper's hawk. I'm going with Cooper's hawk since it looks too big to be the other one. Cooper's hawks don't normally hunt for sparrows because they are just so tiny. A sparrow isn't a very filling meal, so it would be a waste of time to even try to catch them.
JeremyThePlayer88 I don’t have any post editing apps and the only zoom is what you see in the video. I had the iPhone zoomed in as much as possible. What you see is what you get unfortunately.
Do a search for VSDC video editor. It works good for me, and its free too. You can simply download it right on your computer.
JeremyThePlayer88 i was thinking the same thing that it may be a Coopers hawk. I have a closer iPhone pic of the hawk from a couple months back. But I don’t know how to post a link to it or how to upload and where to upload ???
I posted a video of snow plow tractor stuck in the snow, check it out!
How many hp has it?
I just bought my Husqvarna today. I would really like to see more about your plow and hitch. Do you have any movies that show it? I did opt for the diff lock.
I think this would be a good cheap alternative to a regular tractor. This looks like a workhorse. Is this the one with the diff lock?
No. There is no diff. lock.
another nice video I would like to see that Husq at a plow day, all you see at them are Deeres and Cubs
nice job bro, don't see too many Husqvarnas with electric lift plows on them, very cool, would like to see some more of it
Dude ya need to watch some how to videos on how to plow a feild cause your quite clueless lol
+PhatboyHD88 Hey numb nuts...! Did you read the description below the vid? It explains the dickerdness.
hi I am really interested in modifying my garden tractor, what's the duration of your machine?
+Yuqing Huang I'm not sure what you are asking exactly but if it is about the age of the tractor, it was purchased new March 2010. So I have been using it for 6 years and a bit. I use it a lot and maybe even abuse it a little. Especially when ploughing/plowing new unbroken earth. The tractor is still running strong. I see it lasting at least another 5 years. Probably more if I take good care of it. The only negative I find with this tractor is the frame. It is a soft frame and it twists on uneven ground and could potentially break. So reinforcing the frame is a good idea but not totally necessary. Fab
Thanks for your reply, as I checked your video, it looks like your modification can benefit my business, if you are interested in co-up too, could you please reply me for further contact information. We can talk more. Thank you.
can you show the hitch you have
plow is correct spelling !! plough is pronunciation,
I thought about just turning it over the way it sits but with doing half acre that will be alot of weed control though I do have a row cultivator but everyone keeps saying to just put round up Down but with it being sweet corn my family is gonna eat and I'm gonna sell I don't think I should....?
How did the garden work with plowing before spring did grass grow back alot I was told to round up first then pough over im doing a 100 X 40 area so any help from someone who has done this would be great?
jase davids There was just a few spots that grass came back. But lots of weeds sure did come up. I guess I disturbed 22yrs of seed build up. After the first year was done, which entailed lots of weeding things grew nicely and plentiful. As for putting anything like pesticide or non organic fertilizers, you can forget about it. I will never use those things. Only organic fertilizers like manure or compost are ever used in this garden. When this video first starts you can see my compost pile just to the left and behind the tractor. Every year there is a pile like that that goes into the garden. and during the summer I make compost tea and use that on every plant that grows in the garden with amazing results. And awesome flavor in the veggies. I also use compost tea for the grass.
Is that the standard seers sleeve hitch you used on this mower?
Yes and no. It was not purchased at Sears. It was purchased at a tractor and small engine repair shop. But I think it is the same company that builds the sleeve hitch you see for sale at Sears. Price was better than what Sears sells them for also. As you can see I took the manual lift off and now use a small winch to lift. Only problem doing that is, it does not have down pressure. At least with the manual lifting arm one could put a little pressure if needed just by pushing back on the lifting arm. I have back problems and that is out of the question for me. If you have the plough set up properly, it digs in the earth by itself and the winch cable stops it going too far. Fab
Thanks for the info!!
Nice tractor. How come you opted for the winch instead of the sleeve hitch? Next will be a set of agricultural tires and you're all set! Probably will be easier to clean out then the turfs.
If you look close you can see that I have a sleeve hitch. The only thing I opted for was the winch to lift the sleeve hitch instead of the manual arm lift or a linear actuator. Can't afford a linear actuator so a cheap winch works. I now have AG tires.
was just wondering about how you stiffened the frame with the winch mount?
a bit of advice if you want the best engine go with a Kawasaki do not use the kholer brands
Yup - they are loud for sure! Thanks for posting Fab!
Well the video should tell you but I will say this...If I push the accelerator pedal to the floor I will be going too fast. So yes, it pulls good.
Hey does the husqvarna seem to pull good with the plough, ive been thinking of getting one o those husqvarnas
ok so it does good threw tick part of grass an weeds
Think??? lol...Maybe you meant to say, "Thick" parts of grass...? if so, then the response is a big yes! I have yet to have the motor struggle to cut grass/weeds
that 27 horsepower is good threw think parts of grass
Just did and nice I just saw a few
There is already vids of the tractor in use. Got a couple of vids using a plough/plow to make a food garden and hauling some logs out of the woods. No grass cutting vids cus cutting grass is cutting grass and it's no different from any other grass cutting vid. Just click on my user name and browse my other vids.I will be making an update vid soon so subscribe so you won't miss it when I finally do a new vid.
Damn I thought mine had alot mines got almost 267 and its a 2006 but im starting to put more on it cause I have a lawn care service now can you do a video on it running and all
2009 and it is 300 or so hours. I'm too lazy to go out and check. I know there is more hours on it because during the first year I noticed that the hour meter worked intermittently. I caught it on a day that I was waiting for it to warm up and I noticed the hour meter wasn't working...I was like wtf! and then it came back on. It was a loose wire and since I fixed it, it works all the time now. So there may be around 350 hrs on it. Approx. I put around 75hrs per year on the tractor approx.
what year is yours with how many hours
You're welcome, no prob.
ok thanks
So it gets cleaned by hand and then pressure washed. And it's a good time to grease the spindles and give a quick sharpening of the blades and balanced.
Short answer, yes. But it takes forever to clean it properly..It uses lots and lots of water and time and gas cus you need to keep the mower running. But, if you do not do it right after you finish cutting the grass and I mean right after, it won't work. A day later, forget about it. You may as well take the deck off and clean by hand. I usually don't have the time to wait around for the water to clean the deck so i just scrape it off about once a month during summer up north which is short.
but does it work okay or not i would think it wouldnt cause your right wet grass it bad and just throwing a powerwasher under there could work or just scrape it off I just restored and overhauled mine on my 2006 its at almost 267 hours now and at 300 im going to take it off and scrape the grass off and clean it I keep the top cleaned and one tip is I would take it off and polish and wax it cause mine was given to me when we moved into the new house by my uncle and the deck had alot of rust on it
I don't. I have only used it once when I first got it. I clean the deck by hand a couple times a year. It's not too much of a pain to take off and clean. But most importantly I try not to cut wet grass which makes grass stick to the deck like peanut butter on the roof of a dogs mouth. There is a way to make it work but I don't have the patience nor really the need to use it.
how much do you like the wash system cause ive heard that it just makes the deck rust quicker
I'm glad you did your home work before doing this. Hate to see a good lawn mower broken by doing something to tough on it. I'm surprised really they were ok with it. Good for you though. Thanks for posting.
