Hi man. Happy Holydays. Next time remember to use the bike storage so you don't need to drop your stuff. BTW I like uncut mission videos. One last comment, you can use your knife in any bush or tree to pick up branches.

@f3nn3x about the garage, your vehicle has to be inside you base green circle. No need to be inside the base. The only purpouse for that is to protect it of other players. No need the workbench.
Best place to gain rep for traders is down at the new airfield. Airfield has 2-3 areas that spawn a lot of scrap piles. I always go through them when I do an airfield mission. 150-200 scrap every time for an extra 5 minutes of effort
Nice, thanks for the tip 🫡 I have not visited the new airfield and am looking forward to that. It seems like the «big piles» of scrap have a decent spawn rate around the construction zones to. It really isn’t that bad and I leveled one up to level 2 in about 45 mins, before they lowered the requirement. Hope the expand on the leveling system in the future, it got lots of potential 🤘

lol, I had to at least try out the new updated system, and it is way easier and faster than before 👍 I still don’t care about building, and I wish I could just get a tent like they have in the survival camps 😂 that would be more than enough to be honest. Your idea of other rewards is good when playing PvE. I play all PvP on high populated servers. It is a huge challenge trying to survive just getting to the safe zones. It is a challenge trying to keep the loot you have and make it alive. Most of the time, you shoot ONLY when you need too. Meaning, wolves for instants. I don't shoot them, I knife them. Every gun shot drawls players to come looking to see who fired and hunt you. If there is something I wish would come to the game after really thinking about it is weather changes. Fog, rain, snow. Temp problems could be added making it much more challenging. Visibility would be screwed up in rain and snow. The game is very nice looking don't get me wrong but it is missing that element of weather changes. Just my thoughts for conversation.
oh for sure, on a high populated pvp server it is probably a different game, and that is ok. but i think that on even the populated pvp servers a "higher" purpose in the game would be awesome... imagine having a task where you have to go get some stuff from one of the military installations and deliver to a trader... you fight your way in and get the stuff, now you got the angst of delivering it 🙃 idk, i just wish there was more "game", and i dont mean to sound like i complain all the time, cause the game is awesome as it is, and when something is good, we usually want more 😂 Weather effects would be really great so i hope they work on that, and it would change up a lot of stuff for sure 🫡
@@f3nn3x Well OG's like yourself and myself, yes. MORE! To a new player that just bought the game, it is great the way it is. Yeah little bug fixes and what not but to 'us', it can use more of this and that. Yeah we bitch a lot but, again, it's out of love and we really want this game to be as popular as Dayz, rust and others that survived the test of time and still fun to play after years of being on the market. We will always want more bud even when the game (if ever) becomes perfect, we still will find something else to bitch about. Oh on that note, be greatful there is no bears yet. You think wolves are bad. You will probably be running from both bears and wolves screaming. "ARE YOU F"ING KIDDING ME? AGAIN?"
What is it with the wolves with you? 🤣I know the dev's did add wolf packs but every time I play I get one wolf and not at the frequency that you do. It's really is funny and your reaction. "I YOU KIDDING ME?" I swear, I run into real players and big PvP fights, but you, WOLVES.

Hey man, another great video again! One big thing I noticed was the wolf only dealt 9 damage to you. It seems like before the latest major patch, they always did 25 damage to you no matter what kind of armor you were wearing. At least that's what I remember. It does seem like they are a lot more frequent though!
Also, I agree that extra tasks to level up traders would be good, for example killing bandits. It's sort of like how MMORPGs have their "reputation system" when you kill things, you gain rep. Even if it's a small amount, it means that every AI/scav you kill, it goes towards your reputation to the traders. I think that would be a very nice addition, instead of funneling everything through scrap metal.
hey, good catch 🫡 they might have upped the spawn rate and lowered the damage they do 🤷♂️ I hope they take a look at it and do some more "advanced" leveling... there are so many ways they can do it, so crossing fingers we get something 👍
"Restored the sound to the duck call." FINALLY I can play Deadside again! Haha. Anyways, thanks again for another update video. This is how I get my Deadside news. The airdrop duration being increased 5x is by far the thing that stuck out to me the most. As a solo PvE player it means I have plenty of time to get free loot. On that note, I STILL wish they had a countdown timer for the events so we knew whether or not to commit to traveling to one. I'll probably never stop complaining about that =P. Overall though, a lot of good changes. Fewer resources needed to keep the base alive is never a bad thing. Reduced water consumption by 20% is another friendly update too. Anyway, I'm looking forward to your next Deadside video! Take care.
lol, biggest change right there, game finally playable 🙃👍 but yeah, som good changes overall and you should have plenty of time getting to the airdrop's now for sure. And yes, a countdown timer or some other indication of event timers would be great. Dont really help with a vehicle if you drive across the map to do a mission only for it do go away when you get there 🙃 thanks for watching 🫡
I have been playing and it is 'good quality of life' game play. I still think we need Night vision googles, and reduce sound on the foot steps. I am telling you, I played DayZ and other games. There is 'sneak' modes when you move slow. In Deadside, you move from side to side while kneeling, you still make a noise. You need to be completely still. BUT, if the enemy already heard you, they will stay still too and just becomes a waiting game who will move first. So annoying. Other then that, I am excited to see Deadside moving in the right direction. I really can't bitch to much. They are a small team and did provided us with a very good playable game that will stop us from complaining for a bit. Now it's fine tuning what they have given us. I am looking forward to the future. Very nice update date by the way bud.
i agree, it is a really good QOL update 🫡 i dont think we will ever get night vision goggles or anything like that, so i guess we just have to hope they dont increase the night time. the last 10 minuts before sunrise are crazy dark, perfect time to run away in pvp, lol. I agree on the footsteps, sound in general could use some love. AI inside buildings levels above you can sound like they are right next to you, like ghosts ;) but as you say, cant really bitch to much, it is a small team and they got their own vision for the game. All we can do is enjoy what we got and voice our opinions and hopes for the game going forward 🫡
Hi there. As always, we need more content for PVE players. After a week of playing this new update, you are done and start repeating missions. Side note, check the craft part, now you can build a lot of stuff like bandages from sterelized rags and meds.
cant argue with that 🤷♂️ all updates aside, at the core it is still the same, same missions, same "core"... Game has potential and it is a great "casual" game, but it all comes down to what the devs vision is for the game and how they want it. Awesome, great tip 🫡🤘

@@f3nn3x I was watching Boots on Deadside patch notes. So you might know about it. Its the sound of the motorcycles that will be fixed. Sleeping bag destruction, prices on things, and fixing the BB 19 shooting mechanics and much more.
People brought up the "foot steps" as well that needs to be fixed. People can hear you from far away and if there is bots as well, like the problem you had trying to pin point a player or bots or just in general "WHERE ARE THEY?" set up, that needs to be fixed. My opinion and others appearently. It is a problem.

That is a problem. The sound in the game. The motorcycles are loud and they sound close but far. Foot steps are loud so creeping on other players is just not possible. There is just fine tuning of the game. It does need a patch for sure.

Well done with the video, I've still not re-installed Deadside yet., will have to give it a go. Busy with TC Division 2 and Ground Branch. Hope the Dev's can get a road map together ( like incursion red river, and the live dev play/chats the are doing ). Shame they removed some of the foliage, especially when you look at DayZ and other games and how much detail they have.
thanks, feels good being back after a break 🫡 Div2 is a great game but i kinda like Div1 better, something about the atmosphere that Div2 is lacking. Yeah i hope so too, and i kinda think they will have to do something to keep players engaged.
I can see your point around draw distance on the vegetation, but I'm really loving riding around on motorbikes and still think the game looks beautiful.
that is awesome, and it is a great addition for sure 🤘 and as i also mentioned, you probably wont notice it as much during game play, it was more of an observation from my side that they cut down on the vegetation probably due to performance reasons. Me personally would rather prefer a denser environment if i had to choose, but we cant have it all 🫡
@@f3nn3x That's the drawback of it being an online multiplayer game I guess. If it was just a single player game, you wouldn't have to make the compromise. Personally though I'd have stopped playing it a long time ago if it wasn't multiplayer.

Hey F3NN3X! Loved that fadeout at 1:25 lol. The first thing I want to say is as a PvE player, I really don't mind the "comfort bonuses." It at least gives me something else to do with my base by decorating it and allows my player to get stronger in alternative ways besides just armor and weapons. I think it's a fun addition. If they improved base-building like they said they have, then I won't mind building a slightly larger base now. Before, I just built a square room with storage and a water collector. That being said though, with PvP and the concern of balance, I think that could absolutely be problematic. Someone with a huge, decorated base will just always be stronger than someone without a base. Secondly, I agree that the less dense vegetation does look a bit sad. Part of Deadside's appeal was the lush landscape. But...if they had to cut some of it out to add more stuff to the game, I think that's a reasonable compromise. Also, I like that you mentioned the railroad again. They have an entire train track system built into the game and they don't use it at all! Adding patrolling trains (like in Red Dead 2) that you could get on and use for (safe?) travel would be great, and definitely add some life to the map.
Lol, yeah... been over that list a couple of times by now 😂 Oh for sure, on PVE servers the comfort bonuses dont really matter to be honest, and as you say gives you something to do and work for. And that is awesome, i get it. I just feel like on at least PVP servers giving health bonus is kinda meh. But it is probably not that bad, it only lasts an hour out of base so i might be overreacting, lol. I just dont like it when game forces you to do something to get a buff / advantage. Im not into base building, but now i feel like have to spend time on it if i want to be at the same level 🤷♂️But it will probably be just fine 😂 It is kinda weird to me that they dont utilze the trains for something like that. As i said, i would much rather prefer a more dense and nice world, than an open barren map just to get vehicles working 🤷♂️ so im thinking the trains would be easier to optimize... But need to put more time in the game for sure 🫡
Second problem is taking control of the spawn points you can spam not only "noobs" loot, you store them, drive to south Safe base and make money of all that was collected from the people (a@@holes} That farmed what they take what you got from the villages. So the (a@@holes) have the upper hand. The only way to combat this is real strategy. You have to really thing harder once you come in the game and understand you are hunted right away. Do I like it. No. BUUUUT. I feel it makes you a better player in combating such tactics. You can hide. Use terrain. You can hear the vehicles from a long way. HIDE. So is it a problem? I had to think a lot more. I had to counter attack this. I had to use the terrain. It is a challenge in PvP. It is not easy.
Yeah i hear you 🫡 Game is clearly made with PVP in mind (and that's ok) I dont mind PVP at all as it adds to the tention as you say. Problem is cheaters / griefers and just overall dumbasses 😂 im just to old for that shit now. but i will be looking for a good PVP server wit a more "mature" playerbase.
I played the game a lot in EA, so was already familiar with the map, but when I started in v1.0 I avoided other players by hopping on a motorbike and heading south straight away. Gathered all my starter loot at the airfield then came back north for some PvP.
My issue with this game is that all those complex stats and mechanics are irrelevant and it's just fluff. As you said after you craft the first few items, not much else to do. Food water and shelter, the core needs are simply given to you with no work. There is no reason to hunt, fish, farm build a base etc. Progression is pointless. It is a very beautiful demo for unreal engine
Yeah i can agree to a certain point for sure, it is more overwhelming than useful for casual players. But if you really want to get into it, and you are playing on a hardcore server, stuff like that starts to matter. So while i agree i can be a bit to much, it has it's place in the game and it is sorta optional to care or not 🫡
@f3nn3x it didn't overwhelm me, I actually really complex games, it extends the playthrough. I just need a reason to do things, just because they are available isn't enough to make me want to do something. Like I'm not going to plant crops when a whole farm is right there, or build a base when I'm looking at 20 buildings I can use etc. After over 100 hours I just felt it is a bunch of disconnected ideas that don't serve as steps toward needed progression. The game is simply waaaay to easy.
Few problems. You can get a motorcycle right way. If you get a few A@@hole and a team of them, they drive round killing freshies in the log in. That is a huge problem in PvP. Most of the time players are hiding, and cussing at each other. It was aggressive play on my first run . I got 6 kills when I got a BB18 but the spamming started. Freshies could not get off the starting block once a team got involved and held control of the spawn points.
EXACTLY. It is VERY tough to get off the starting block. I had a BB19 right off the bat. Killed 2 bambi's the attacked me with a hand gun and a knife. I killed them both. They would come back with a motor cycle and spawn trapped all the bambi's. So yes sir, it is rough to get off the starting block in PvP. Just for you're views, It is rough. It is not easy. Use all the tools given to you, tactics, and strategy.
Nice review! As a long time SCUM player, a few notes: - When you tire of the single player experience, going on high population servers solo makes for a very compelling experience. Players are deadly and surviving amongst them is intense. - Base building is well done and can be a very motivating goal. Bases that can survive high population servers take a lot of work and require resources from distant areas. - Cooking and farming is deeper than it looks and the benefit is that with high-quality meals you never have to worry about exhaustion. Some servers balance this so that hunting/farming/fishing is necessary to survive. - Public servers are different. Some make surviving a real challenge. Tougher puppets, disabled maps, expensive traders, etc. Some focus on events or role playing. Find the community you like. - You can make a business finding, repairing and selling vehicles. You can make a business farming and selling tobacco or cannabis. You have a lot of freedom. - When you get better at the game, hunt other players. By then you'll know where to find them.
Thanks and great notes about the game 🫡 it is a unique and in depth game for sure. The in depth mechanics might be off putting for casual players (like my self) so i kinda wanted to show off that you can get have a good time and get far in the game playing it "casually". That said, if one were to get really into the game, with a some friends or on a high pop pvp server, the game changes and you will most def have a good time getting into all the systems. only time will tell 🤷♂️ it is a great game and has it's place for sure, but i dont think the "hardcore only" player base can keep this game alive in the long run unless the devs focus on adding more "game" to the game 🫡

i dont know why people get happy when half finished games go out of early access ... its literally the worst news you can get meaning htey will quit building on the game as they used to.
Facts. This isn’t exciting. It’s a game with potential that after it’s 1.0 the devs can leave it and never come back.
hey @TheRougeMonk, i can see the worry there, but i genuinely want to know why this is the worst? You worry about future updates? Game being abandoned by the devs? All legit worries for sure. Let’s focus on Deadside specifically. It’s been in development for 5 years, with its ups and downs. The devs have a clear vision and work towards it with community input during early access. Once they achieve that vision, the game leaves early access-that’s how it should work. While my personal preference leans toward more PvE content, that's not the devs' focus. It’s their vision, not mine, and that’s okay. Deadside is a well-optimized, balanced game (most of the time) with no major bugs I’ve encountered. Leaving early access shows the game is in a good, stable state, and the devs have assured they’ll keep supporting it post-release.
hey @UnsettlingDwarf the game has more potential for sure, i think it has to, but that is _our_ vision of the game, and that does not necessarily align with the devs vision and scope for the game, and that ok.
@@f3nn3xBecause just like every other game that does this and falls flat on its face, deadside is not ready to compete in that space, it will forever struggle to hold a consistent player base. They have zero marketing, no real meaningful interaction with their community, and the games isn't exactly selling like hotcakes so it's not like a full release is going to change much, just a new subtext on the store page that will make the game seem like a failed release rather than a W.I.P..... that's on the company/broader-stroke level... Deadside doesn't stand out in any way whatsoever. It does nothing new and what it does do, it doesnt do the best, nor does it offer a high volume of content by comparison to other games in the genre. The audio is horrendous, graphics are below average at best, there is no ambience, enemy a.i is brain-dead, the map itself has no variation, just a largely flat expanse of washed out verdant green with the odd pond. The economy is practically non-existent, the company hardly supports the creators that have honestly kept it alive this long, there is no progression, no lore or story, no dialogue, barely any customization of any kind....... Everything from the player controller to the base-buiding system has atleast some potential to glitch out and render a playthrough null n void. This game isn't even close to full release if you want it to succeed. They are running out of money, time and players, this is a panic move
It's really sad how dead the game is. This game really should rival rust and DayZ but nobody plays it. I think I know why though.. it's the feeling of the game. To put it frankly, it feels like your playing as a plastic toy in this game. There's no weight to the characters, they are hollow. It feels like shit. The games amazing but the first impressions I think rubs people the wrong way
Hey, yeah it is kinda sad how few players this game has, it really is a great game, but i believe it needs a bit more to bring new and old players back. The coming update will feel fresh and cool, but there is nothing new in the game to incentivize that the player should keep playing after a while 🤷♂️ Especially if you are a solo pve player. If you are on a populated pvp server with good admins you can probably have a good time for a long while.
Using the scum app is the best way i found to get a good experience with the game. You can look for servers that match what you want from it. I like to join servers that are pve with pvp zones, no mechs, a discord with a discord shop ( you start with so much discord server money to buy mats,weapons and stuff. You earn so much for time paying), discord lottery ( you win prizes randomly when on the server), and a discord welcome pack ( start the game kitted out with gear and food). Makes the dying in pvp less of a blow and getting a base easier to set up. Also 9 out of 10 discord servers aren't toxic and easy to get people involved in the cod like modes you can start at anytime.

We have a really good server that we are trying to populate. It’s called criticalZ the map is PVE with PVP zones and rotational raid zones. There is a bot shop and building mats cost almost nothing to buy so you can build a base. Mechs are on but can be killed with 1 frag or if you get uranium and make ammo you can kill them with 1 mag. We have reworked all loot around the map. When you find a vehicle they will all have engines and to find the rest of the parts just search the wrecked cars around the map. We have written all bunkers and high loot POIs to have custom loot as well. Give it a look. We have a very good community and are looking to always have new people. No need to worry about skills because those have been increased to get new players up to speed with everyone. There is much more to explore with the server.
Really excited for this update. Like you said though, new mission types would be a good addition given how many of the players who've stuck with the game focus on PvE. Think they're hoping they'll draw in a larger PvP crowd with the v1.0 launch.
Same, it looks like a solid QOL update 🤘and the game is going to feel fresh for a while, but then what? When the honeymoon phase is over, people have their bases, their vehicles etc... The game is still fundamentally the same 🤷♂️ Dont get me wrong, i really want the game to succeed and be as good we all know it can be, but that is all up to the dev's
@f3nn3x now they've finally cracked land vehicles, they should have more time for adding new missions and other points of interest. Vehicles were undeniably the most requested feature, and from the sounds of it, the hardest one to implement.

Ah, yes, I see your predicament! First, you'll want to feed the seed phrase to a parrot so it can memorize it for emergencies. Then, launch your USDT into orbit using a potato cannon and a Wi-Fi extender to guide it to Binance's space station. If all else fails, duct tape your phone to a boomerang and hope it swings back with a confirmation email. Good luck 🫡

It has 10x the content rust and DayZ has. Lol not talking about mods but the straight up game. Deadside has way more than DayZ and Rust combined.

I really enjoy deadside. I'm a pve player so I'd really love to see a deeper pve campaign or missions. But the current system is still pretty fun

I'm as happy as a snow king about the update-Deadside really manages to keep me hooked again and again. The only thing I find a bit sad is the fact that money is now just a number at the top of the screen. In my opinion, this takes away some of the thrill, like when you go to a wandering trader with a lot of money and hope to get through it as safely as possible.

All the changes are exciting, and the game will probable feel "fresh" for a week, but it is going to be interesting to see how the game population is after that honeymoon phase is over 🤷♂️ So i really hope they shift their focus on developing and expanding on the "progression" system, but time will tell
I've been playing the test branch and it's a ton of fun. With vehicles and high pop the game is action packed! I love the new building system and lots of the new changes seem to be good and will make the game a lot more fun.

So they changed a couple of settings as they did many times before and call it a gamechanger update ? Scum team just in their regular manner. Do nothing. While all prime bugs and problems is still there, like - rediculous gaps in square and triangular roofs (their coders do not cares about maths) - stupid one by one pulling out bolts, nails and paper clips - stupid mob spawns just from out of nowhere with no reason or logic - always bugged AI lets mobs to just walk through hte walls in idle mode - dead boring locations with nothing to do like nuclear powerplant - idiotic 'hunting' spawning sound puzzle which is not real hunting because there is no animals before you spawn them with it - stupid inreasonable hard bunkers with the same spawning system of thousands of mobs right on your shoulder - weakhead economics with fairytale mercants in the middle of massacre. this killed natural economics existed before when players collected and repaired weapons and stuff - worst raid and lockpiking system in entire game industry which is good only for cheaters - and ALL of those and much more problems are 5-7 years OLD and dev just dont give a f. instead of fixing it they just adding some cosmetics and making weekly videos of themselves chilling in their office and doing nothing.

We don't need all that sh*t for the base. More stuff for the server to handled. Instead, we need more variaty in missions, a task system, randomness in mission dificulty locations not always the same ones over and over and over. They need to give PVE players more or we will leave the game forever. There are better games for PVP than Deadside. They are killing this great game.

One thing I hope they add soon, besides night vision goggles, is a DAMN COUNTDOWN TIMER ON THE MISSIONS/EVENTS! Heh...it's so frustrating to walk 5+ minutes somewhere only to have the mission disappear right before you get there.

I'm a fan of this! As you said, any time they add content that everyone can experience is a good thing. It makes the map feel less empty and barren. Vehicles of course will help with downtime, but simply adding more stuff is a good way to help with that too!

Hey man, thanks again for an update video! I read it myself, but I like to hear your thoughts on the updates as they come in. As someone who strictly plays PvE, this doesn't really impact me in any way. It'd be neat if we could construct "field turrets" that we could build while we're doing a mission and lure the AI into them, haha. Sort of like Modern Warfare 3's Survival mode, if anybody remembers that from 10 years ago. :P
