I recently tried Doom Eternal with my old GTX 680 2GB... I got single digit framerates at 1280x720 with low settings. It's safe to say Kepler GPUs are basically unusable for modern games. Games that released in the 2010's when Kepler was still somewhat relevant, however, run like on dream on the GTX 680 2GB: BioShock Infinite, Dead Space 3, Grand Theft Auto V, Call of Duty Black Ops 2, Far Cry 3, Wolfenstein: The New Order etc.

ITS Crazy how these gen crads got old so fast, I have a lenovo legion pro with rtx 3060 and ryzen 5 and let me tell u, I'm having a hard time playing some of these newer games, I even stop playing any new demanding game because I want to enjoy them at there best so, I purshes every game but I wont play until I upgrade, maybe the next 5000 card

I have a similar laptop but with a 3070. I needed it to replace a crappy 6800M AMD laptop.

If u guys want more performance on this laptop try oc the gpu,the gpu can be oc pretty stable for a laptop mine is at 300 with 300 and i have gained 5-10 fps in aaa games

Nice video. I can tell that you upgraded your original GPU to this one. I hope the gtx 980m doesn't always cause a CPU bottleneck on your 4720HQ. B'cos the GPU is so powerful. I have a Core i7-4810MQ (slightly faster than the 4720HQ) laptop & I'm looking to upgrade my Nvidia quadro k2100m to a quadro m2200 (~30-40% slower than a gtx 970m). Both have the same TGP. Hopefully it's a good combo.
