From what I've seen on reddit, people say the v2 has a slightly tighter fit, which ends up being counter productive. They say it's so tight the CPU lifts up with the bracket if you remove it, which could lead to damage if it falls out back on top of the socket pins. The v1 looks better anyway, as it has polished edges.

The one with smooth corners didnt even fit, and the one with sharper corners fits but its kinda loose and only has 2 screw holes... wtv ill just use it 😂

@ yea thats true, it has significantly less impact with am5 cpu’s but its still abit better. You can get these off aliexpress for like a dollar or so too. Imo its worth it but definitely not needed

it's a waste of time. you can just do a pea in the center and that's it.

@@jony_tough not anymore, ihs shapes have evolved to be bigger in size and more curvy than before hence the need for this contact frame. youll need to do an X pattern all the way around.

@@ItalianMetalHEDincorrect. it depends on your application. a larger cpu like intel or a thread-ripper WILL have a slight decrease in temp by doing what you said, an X or spreading it. but am4 is square so a pea would be fine, and am5 has its ridges at the edge so spreading is what id recommend but a pea would suffice

@ I still spread due to the inconsistency of cold plate pressure the average joe would do, spend the extra time for sure thing application.

@@peely-k4x shipping will depend on your area. im playing call of duty warzone my gaming temps are CPU/GPU 60-65°c all fans speed at 1200 RPM

@@jayflyff2318 you have 2 ARGB ports in your board. one in the upper right on the top of 24 pin and one in the lower left near Audio Port
