Thanks for watching the video. Unfortunately, the pâté was a risk, so I had to leave it out when it had puffed up a bit. Those packages usually don't puff up if they're in good condition. I've also come across those wet wipes where one package is green and the other is white. You only need to add a little hot water to that drink and it helps melt the hardened granules, and when you add ice cold water on top, it's still a cold drink. The meatballs were a nice change from the usual Russian packages that have kasha as the main course, in different variants.

@RandomMRE , I love Kasha, but it is repetitive in these meals, agreed. Tushanka, most likely I misspelled, stewed meat I love as well. Meatballs would be pleasant change. Agreed, extra sides would be beneficial. Nice meal, great review. Peace.

Thanks for watching the video. The second main course was strange. Hot dogs and pasta, without any sauce. Both were really tasteless. The crackers in the package were fine and had a best before date that would last well into next year. I just don't understand those "chocolate" crackers. They were pretty tasteless.

@RandomMRE Do they have Orifo drinks like the Dutch rations? Love that stuff. The Grapefruit and orange are great!

The Norwegian packaging contains Real drink powders and the Danish packaging contains Orifo. Orifo is a Danish brand.

@RandomMRE , I need to get a Norwegian. WearyWolf likes them too. I've never had one of those....maybe 2025 will be my year!

Norwegian products are good. I still have 15 different ones on my shelf. If I've had duplicates, I've given them away to friends. They're cheap here in Europe, 10-15 euros each. In January I thought I'd make another video about them.

Thanks for watching the video. The main reason for using AI in audio is the noisy background. The studio is in the middle of the capital and there is always something making noise. There are still about 170 different MRE products on the shelf, so there will be plenty of videos in the future.

Usually, opposite flavors complement each other, sweet and sour, but in my opinion, pâté goes better with rye bread, which is sour, than with wheat or other sweeter ones. The cold package was really good, and what was good about it was that you could choose your favorite option from the warm food in addition to the cold meal.

In my opinion, the previous Czech package was a little better than this Polish one. The next video will be a little longer as it's a 24h package. It will be on my channel on December 6th.

If it were intended for soldiers, I would be very satisfied carrying one with me and knowing that I would soon have a tasty lunch. A small downside would be that I would have to carry a metal cans with me, because if the mission in the forest is for several days or even a week, then that weight would be large in addition to other combat equipment. In that case, of course, I prefer to carry freeze-dried food with me and then collect water from nature.

Thanks for watching the video. The package for the Polish police contained some pretty good canned pork. It was dense and didn't taste bad at all. I have the next Czech video in the works and we'll see what kind of "spam" product they have there.

And what's the problem with that? For example, if you eat a chocolate bar and it has 400 Calories, that capital C means kilos, i.e. one thousand units, so 400x1000=400,000 units, i.e. calories. If, on the other hand, 400 calories are marked on the package with a small c, then it has 400 calories. In civilized countries, it can also be marked as 400 kcal, where k means kilo. The daily energy requirement of a normal working person is about 2,500 kilocalories, i.e. 2,500,000 calories.

I will agree, the food looks terrible and is ok, but not for every day consumption

That pork seemed firm when cut when it was tightly packed in a can, but it wasn't the same as Spam, but when you cut a piece of it, it was more like porridge with mixed fat and processed meat. There were nine large sachets of sugar per three drinks, so that's quite a lot. If you used three for each drink, the spoon would stand up to it. Yes, the kasha could be better if you heated it with a direct flame and gave it a little crunch. That opened canned food in a water bath works well, so you don't need to mix it, when the canned food is always so full that when you try to break the structure with an esbit, it then falls easily or is at least difficult to do. With Trangia and a separate pan, it could be done nicely if you first pour it there out of the can. The honey didn't really have any flavor. It was like just melted and crystallized sugar. It's a wonder that those wet wipes were dry when the package was relatively new, manufactured in 2022. It was a bit boring package without snacks and side dishes. Now there was a little longer video break in the summer due to other work, but in the winter there will be more videos again.

Thanks for watching the video. The main course is already prepared and can be eaten either cold or heated in some other way. I heated it myself in a water bath. It can also be poured out of the bag onto a plate and heated in the microwave or heated separately in a pot.

I haven't test that white star ration even that is more common product.

Thanks for watching and commenting. The new US MRE packages (the ones with the transparent plastic on the other side) reportedly have more efficient FRHs than the old ones. I haven't been able to test such a new version yet. I myself eat rye bread and oatmeal daily as well. Oats have more fiber than wheat, and the fiber binds sugar and then releases it into the bloodstream more slowly, so the body doesn't get such a sugar rush, but rather evenly, and then you can cope much better throughout the day. At home, I often heat meals in a boiling pot as well, but sometimes, because of the viewers, I also do it in a heating bag. The next video will be a Ukrainian MRE, it's already on the shooting table waiting for me to make it due to my other busyness.

Instead of one heating pad, there were two of them inside, although one would have been quite enough. The next video is already in the works, so it too has been made earlier than at most two videos. Or at least I haven't found more of it.

I would add two things: - Proverb: "Tastes are not discussed" in fact the tastes you are exposed to when you are a child remain what you prefer - From my military experience, at the end of a hard and cold day, sometimes something you normally hate can be divine.

All products are fresh. There are a few components that are not quite to my taste, but they are not bad either. The second part of the video is moving to editing at a good pace, and it will probably be ready by Monday.
