Thank you very much! I also spent several hours on the course. Creating it was very time-consuming and then I also flew a lot. At first mainly with the Chicane. But then I also became interested in the airplanes. I managed it with the Cricket and the Compass. Revoker and Ifrit are another matter, I'm too bad at that. Tarantular and Darkreach might be too sluggish. I haven't gotten very far with them yet.

I made a little program with Unity that uses the values of the joystick and throttle to “animate” the display. The output is a square window that I can then record with OBS. I don't see the overlay in the game itself, it is only visible on the recording. I looked for a way to create an overlay beforehand, but couldn't find one. Hence my makeshift solution.

That's what excites me about the game, too! It offers you so much freedom that some people can really let their imagination run wild when designing “missions”. If the editor is more convenient to use, perhaps in the future, creating new tracks won't be so time-consuming. Then I would also be willing to build different tracks :-)

@@Klawifiantix I have been playing around with the editor a little but its a bit tricky to get around, alot to improve but you can already do quite alot of cool stuff.

It's the name of the gunner. I found it in the Chicane manual.

When I saw the recording, I thought of this meme during the sequence: "It was that moment when he realised he'd fucked up." You can see the bomb flying, but I didn't even realise it while playing xD

You mean it's crazy how tanks can snipe you? If so, I haven't yet decided whether I find it cool or annoying. I like a challenge and I can imagine a tank being able to snipe a hovering helicopter out of the air. But it's so annoying to fly for 30 minutes only to be completely dismantled by a hit. I guess I need to upgrade my skilkset.

Yeah I think it makes sense that they’re able to do it, but I almost want there to be more fanfare involved when it does happen, haha - like I wanna see more visible damage. Right now you just die and your heli gently floats away, leaving you confused as to what happened until you see the kill feed

In the text it was SD-Cards. But the text to voice AI wanted to be creative. I thought it was funny and left it like that :-) Very thoughtful of you!

@@monostripezebras Yeah, Missile-Age... I dont like it too much. With the Chicane I try to fight the enemy at a distance of around 5km. But Cruise Missiles... Meh, where is the fun. Like atomic bombs. Once the AA is down, you can drop it, but what for...

Totally possiible right now. I updated the mission multiple times. Now you have a Medium hangar at the start position. And i deleted an obstacle, so its doable for planes... Didnt make it with a Tarantular, yet.

And I think the combination of hosting a session and streaming it at once is to much for my connection. We had great fights :-)

@@MonostripeZebra Good point! I'll think about that a little more. It's more about the big picture rather then a Dogfight. So you think planes a better realized than helos?

I made a little App with Unity, that reads my inputs and visualizes it like you see in the video. With OBS I can overlay my App in parts on top on the Video an that's it :-)

Hey, glad to read from you. I'm happy to answer your questions: The music is created very simply with an AI: suno.com. The VRS and raise gear messages and the beeping really get on my nerves, so I wanted to make songs out of them xD With the landing gear extended, the helicopter turns faster around its pitch axis. Loops are so much easier. VRS means vortex ring state: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vortex_ring_state Thanks for the compliment, I practiced for hours until I could fly like this. But it's a lot of fun!

Press "L" on your keyboard. It's the default key to cycle though 3 camera modes. Cockpit - 3rd Person - Flyby
