The problem is Air BNB not tourists. They wouldn't have a pot to piss in if it wasn't for tourists. Its people knocking up the rents . Spanish rents have trebled. Second homes are turning communities in to hostels . If you stay .stay in a hotel . Or a actual Spanish hostel .

All countries have a “Tourist” price and a “Local” price. Rents and housing is Blackrocks fault.

It’s a shame. I love Barcelona,have been there many times and think it’s the most beautiful city. I’m German/American.

Local here. Max, spaniards are peaceful people, so generally we enjoy being kind with others. Theres too massive foreigners this days, but its a problem from the goverment, not from foreigners which comes to enjoy our city. Government needs to make this sustainable and organize it in a better way, but they are not doing anything. Better quality of tourist instead of bring the ones which are noisy and drunk. Also is making impossible to the locals to live in Barcelona and is increasing the cost of living. Locals ends up abandoning the city and go to live in the towns nearby, wich is really unfair. Just we want the goverment to make it sustainable. People is not gonna hate you, they just want a fair and peaceful life. Cheers
