@@emilean4952 that would make breakfast so much more fun!
Do you sell your work??
@@mabsolutely I have been doing a few craft shows locally but that’s all right now!
@@feniaksfirings ah, ok. Good luck in your craft shows.
@@mabsolutely thanks!
Just what I was looking for, thank you! 😊
@@Amberlea61 thanks!
What wheel is that, please? I’m shopping for one to use at home.
@@RoxyanneYoung this is a Brent wheel although I have also used a Shimpo and both are great durable machines
@@RoxyanneYoung I have been looking into the smaller wheels (like Vevor) because I want to be able to take it into the classroom and have heard good things about them too
Beautiful!
@@TammyMitchell5 thank you so much!
May I ask where you get the stamps or if you made them?
@@SaraNicholson-d2y I have made some (simple!) stamps, but the ones I used here were from a company called Relyef who 3D print a wide range of designs.
@@feniaksfirings thank you!!
@@SaraNicholson-d2y no problem!
For the stamps and the trimming, did you do this same day?😊
@@lovejaycakes I usually wait until it is about halfway to leather hard (when the base can be trimmed), and depending on temperature it might take half a day or overnight until it can be stamped and the design cut in. Thanks for the question!!
@@feniaksfirings gotcha! I wanted to try out the stamps in open studio tomorrow but it might be too wet, but I’ll be there a few hours so maybe it’ll get a little hard ☺️ I love the bowls!!
Now I feel stupid! So beautiful glowing in the dark. 😄
@@WhiteStoneCottagePottery no worries! Thank you for the idea to post a video of it in use!
@whitestonecottagepottery here it is!
Love this! But what’s the purpose of the second piece? Would like to see it in action.
@@WhiteStoneCottagePottery this is a luminary/wax melt my daughter asked for - tea light goes inside, wax melt with fragrance goes in the top to be heated up and release scent into the room.
@@WhiteStoneCottagePottery I just uploaded a short, showing it in action if you want to check it out. I don’t think I was able to tag you in it so I’m commenting here so you know about it!!
The rain in the background makes this so very mesmerizing.
@@Rod-ew9zb I find pottery is very zen in the first place but the rain makes it so much better!!
❤❤❤❤
I can’t draw but wanted to celebrate EPIC in my own way, and sometimes pottery feels like a battle!!
Lol 😂
I hope this is perceived as the compliment to EPIC and @jayherrans that it was intended to be !!
Hi. Very very nice work. Just wonderful. I love it. So pratique. How much clay did you use on each bowl please?
@@paulagodoy1114 thank you! I used 800 grams for each bowl.
@@feniaksfiringsmerci et quelles sont les dimensions largeur et hauteur car cela rétrécit à la cuisson. Merci
@@bcsvl0110 the bowls were about 9x18 cm when thrown and ended up 8x17 cm after firing and glazing. I am not great at making exact sizes though so there is some variation between the 3!
@@feniaksfirings thank you so much !!!!
Nice work!
@@mainacht3509 thank you so much!
Really a beautiful pot. Thank you
@@ODDwayne1 thank you so much!
Great video. Beautiful work. As a new potter in training, I'd also like a view of the tools you're using to throw and shape each piece.
@@Rod-ew9zb I will try to do that in future
So Beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing. I look forward to watching your other videos.

Those turned out quite beautiful.

I don’t know how head banging caterpillars became viral but I support your cause
LOL! No they cannot "hear". They only pick up vibrations. Cripes people!
So true
I was expecting you to use a tone generator, but this is better.
It's not the sounds themselves. They freak out when they feel they're near Darth Vader.
Put on some low-frequency death metal.
sounds like I'm watching something nsfw.
Hypothesis: They might have some kind of sensory receptor on their body picking up vibrations from lower frequencies. Maybe as a way to detect predators.
but i cant hear any sound ?
Have you considered putting them in a smaller container and see if they do it to the same frequency? It may very well be the Helmholtz resonance frequency of the volume of the container. Which makes everything, including the leaves vibrate inside, which startles the caterpillars as their sensitive legs detect it. Very interesting phenomenon nonetheless!! :)
Martin Plociennik the container was a large mesh cage, so I wouldn’t think it would transmit much vibration, but the head banging was also noticed in smaller plastic bug box type cages too. It also seemed more advanced in caterpillars raised in the house as opposed to wild-caught as 5th in stars. Although that was a very small sample size!
That is probably one of the most annoying noises i've ever heard but good job on the science.
Dance party
th-cam.com/video/G1uYJx3AKeg/w-d-xo.html 😒
How is this trending on Canada??
It's not clear whether they can "hear" (i.e. they have some kind of 'ears'); instead they might just have some sort of impulsive reaction to sound waves
#savesml
Bitch dem ain’t butterflies
Play earrape owo
Was expecting her to play Still D.R.E and I was dissapointed lol
OOF
looks like your just scaring the shit out of them. I also bobbed my head when I thought a giant ape was behind me about to knock my head off.
bassier grunts indicate a large animal that might be coming to eat them probably some kind of defense mechanism.
