Had it was advertised properly, it would've been sold in large numbers and Holden might've gotten the Alpha platform and use the opportunity of Ford ending the Falcon line to make the ZB Commodore on the Alpha thus keeping Holden in business.

Sad to see what happened to Holden, if only they were given the Alpha platform, the ZB Commodore would've been an original design instead of just a rebadged Opel and the Americans would've gotten a new SS but then again, the 6th gen Camaro is also built on the Alpha platform so it should be no problem for Chevrolet to make an original Chevy SS design and manufacture it entirely in the US (of course the Commodore started out as an Opel and made an icon down under but Holden begin to make an original design when the Zeta platform was introduced with the VE Commodore so it shouldn't a problem for Holden to pull it off again with the ZB).

The platform of this vehicle is still used in Cadillac CTV vehicles. The camaro as well ( before it was killed off ). This SS was quite literally ahead of its time. 😊
