As night fell, the steady soaking rain with bands embedded, began to move out, bringing some brief periods of somewhat calmer conditions. Those conditions would often be interrupted by a round of heavy rain in the form of a rain band. Within those rainbands would be spurts of 45mph+ gusts, EXTREMELY heavy rainfall rates, strong thunderstorms, and even in some cases, an isolated tornado warning for an embedded weak supercell. We luckily didn’t experience any tornadoes at my location…
Shortly after this band moved out, Tropical Storm Debby was upgraded to Hurricane Debby!
